Morocco was such an unforgettable place to visit.

There were so many moments where the culture touched me in a way that made me realize how important it is to care for one another, even when someone is a complete stranger.

One moment that stayed with me happened after I took the wrong shared taxi. I was frustrated and clearly didn’t know what to do next. A girl noticed me, came over and immediately invited me to her home to stay. And honestly, there were moments like that throughout my time there.

It made me think about how quickly we create a distance between ourselves and “strangers,” when really, we’re not that different at all.

We’re all just living, learning, figuring things out and creating our own lives in completely different places. by @leora_oz

I checked the map and Morocco was only an hour and a half flight away.
So I said…
why not?

A little blog -
The last few months have been, a lot. Some folks know the realness, some of you just don't see me posting for a week. I started my photography journey just over 4 years ago. I walked into this industry, not wanting to be like the rest. I don't want to gouge your wallets, I want folks who didn't think they'd have the opportunity for a professional photoshoot to be able to afford one. I have found forever clients, friends and amazing businesses to work with. Though, half of this year I was met with some terrible clients who I had to let go. The experiences themselves made me want to close my doors. The bad was not making up for the good. I was criticized all the way down to my own personal self. I was constantly being booked, without anyone properly reading my contract or bothering to review my work. One after another, everyone claimed they hated my work and went as far as insulting myself personally and my work. Demanding this, demanding that treating me like a robot. It came to the point, I realized folks were booking me for my prices and not my actual work. I put my foot down. Its not okay to hire a photographer then bully them into being someone they're not. I didnt feel valued, inspired or motivated. After taking a while to collect my thoughts; I changed everything. I am now very selective who I work with, the money does not speak to me you as a human does. I refuse to lose my passion, due to people not wanting to be kind and wanting to save a dollar. I am not expendable to you, I am human. Thank you to everyone to has valued my work and respected me as a whole ❤️ You're exactly the person who drives me to never give up. Thank you. 🫶

I thought Tenerife was just beaches…
I thought my days here would mostly be fruit, sunshine and finding a nice beach to spend the day at.

But then I started exploring and realized there’s so much more to this island.

I wandered around the colonial streets of La Orotava, hiked around Los Campitos, explored La Laguna and found some really beautiful little neighbourhoods and beach towns along the way.

And I still feel like I’ve just started exploring.

The beaches are amazing but Tenerife has so much to explore beyond them and I’m definitely not done yet 🌴

Nature is us. Every time I return to nature, I feel like I’m coming home… back to myself. In the cities, surrounded by constant noise and distractions, it’s easy to forget that we are part of something much bigger. Nature reminds me who I truly am.
