This year out in Japan was a very special year, we got to meet up with some of the coolest brothers, @saku.matsuda and @mutsuki.matsuda, and their awesome parents @ayumu.ma2 . We scheduled to meet up with them and ride at a resort that we have never skied before. Naturally we sniffed out some sick pow lines before meeting up with them, after lunch we took some park laps and then some off piste to catch some freshies with mom. We had the best time riding together, I was getting so inspired with their snowboarding. They are so young and have such incredible skills riding snowboards that are twice as big as them. Watching them ride and feed off each others energy really reminded me of growing up skiing with Leo back in the park rat days. The brother connection and passion something so special and so incredible to watch. To be able to inspire and rip these boyz has got to be one of the best feelings/connections on earth. Thank you so much for meeting up with us! We are so excited to meet up again next year and make more memories. Just a bunch of like minded lib tech heads. Time flys when you have fun!!!! New to boarding, not scoring. So stoked to rip lines on a board and skis. The ultimate dream. As these final days come to rest. Looking at my phone and finding some the best moments are what makes this trip so fun. And exiting to work and save up for next year!!! These friends and moments together will never fade only to grow bigger and bigger. And keep the eternal flame of stoke ripping. Than you to all. Well dropped the sweetest score lord off at the train..(she dropped me off and helped me get to the right platform) 😂😅 so stoked to share some awesome memories with ya! Even staying in the Ooosss house with all the boyz. Sarah helped us get out of every pinch, especially the Sapporo train station shut down. I think if she wasn’t here we would still be stuck in Sapporo 🤣Showing me a whole new world to Tokyo, rather than the boyz 3am ninja beer missions. Had an absolute blast with you as a tour guide. Seeing all the temples, shopping at all the hot commodities this girl is a seasoned vet traveling. Love you 💕, she’s bringing home all the snow to the west coast, so don’t worry, dumbing buckets should be soon for you Tahoe 💙 too many photos to go though so little time. I’m off back to the land of rising snow with Otto. Bout to be pitate 🏴‍☠️ mode with some fart boyz and soon to meet the doughboy legend himself. Cheers 🍻 kanpai. The Boyz made the 3.5 hour drive starting at 4:00am to ride with The Legend @curristick and local shredder Hyota (@ecbsm_6 )!!! With endless amounts of snow when we left, we finally found some sunshine ☀️ first time riding @hakodatenanae And to the say least it was the best place with no people and legendary views and terrain. Normally JP has been making this long drive to come ski with us, so we wanted to return the favor and check out his neck of the woods. To say the least he has such an unreal, magical zone, with no riders in sight. The experience that he showed us has to be one of our best experiences in Japan. The tide may have been low, but the vibes were so hai. We ended our legendary session at JP’s curry shop and got to taste some of the best handmade curry in Japan! Thank you @curristick for taking us under the wing, and for always being down to meet up with us. One of the best parts of this journey is seeing the reaction to our upcycled vintage and plant dyed gear.

Especially when it comes to our @flavorseal.nyc collab back country hats that have whistles, compasses, flint knives, and lots of hidden pockets. And a map of @sierra_at_tahoe inside to take a piece of home wherever you go.

Some things are just better in real life 😎

Well before winter started I was given the opportunity to lace this big Ol Red fir up that died after the fire; there’s some cabins near by so the boss man gave me the hit list and that it was tight shot. If it goes wrong I’ll be in debt up to my eye balls. So I made sure I wasn’t going to miss this one. A tall son of a gun and a a solid 4ft’er.
