The Bacchae 🍇🫀🍷 I choreographed a whole play! I cannot overstate how awesome this experience has been for me. going to miss it so much. hugely grateful for the creative team I worked with, especially @kendrickweingast our amazing director. hugely grateful for the amazingly talented cast i got to see make my choreographic vision come to life. and so thankful for everyone else involved in the process, especially our stage management team who sat in with me every rehearsal :) too many emotions to fit them all into an instagram caption but the bacchae will forever live on in my heart!!! To Be Well (I want, I want) - Junior Choreographic Project 2025 What an honor to be given the opportunity to choreograph something so meaningful. I started choreographing this piece November of 2024 after nearly stress fracturing both of my tibias and being unable to stand while dancing for 2 weeks. I have a bone disease that causes me to frequently injure, leading to over 35 bone breaks and innumerable sprains. It used to be that I would sit and watch dance (miserably) "unable to participate" for months until I was healed, proving my worth as a dedicated student while never being given another option. It's funny what opportunities chairs can give you. It was a blessing in disguise to have those tibia injuries - it taught me so much about how I can maneuver in a chair, what opportunities the chair provides me, how fucking cool disabled dance can be. Huge thank you to my amazing cast(@anandithegoat @ec_grimes14 @joelymaystupeck ) for trusting me in this process and giving their everything to my piece. This is just the beginning.
