performance art also called artistic action or “happening”, “live art”, “action art”, “actions”, “intervention”, “gestus”, “fluxus”.

Is tended to be defined as an antithesis to theatre.
The ideal had been an ephemeral and authentic experience for performer and audience in an event that could not be repeated, captured or purchased.

It involves five basic elements: time, space, body, presence of the artist and the relation between the creator and the public.

Its goal is to generate a reaction, sometimes with the support of improvisation and a sense of aesthetics.
The themes are commonly linked to life experiences of the artist themselves, the need for denunciation or social criticism and with a spirit of transformation.

It largely refers to a performance presented to an audience, but which does not seek to present a conventional theatrical play or a formal linear narrative, or which alternately does not seek to depict a set of fictitious characters in formal scripted interactions.
it would intentionally seek to transcend the usual real-world dynamics which are used in conventional theatrical plays.

It is not only a way of creating, but of living; it’s creating a whole new ideology.
It is against eternal beauty, the eternity of principles, the laws of logic, the immobility of thought and clearly against anything universal. It promotes change, spontaneity, immediacy, contradiction, randomness.

The process of creating is privileged over the finished product.

The gestus will not be any longer any retained and encapsulated moment of the universal dynamic, but will be rather the eternalisation of a dynamic feel.
