DARIOUSH 💛 - Of all the high-end/private tours & wineries we visited, Darioush was the highlight hands down! The Persian hospitality was next level, I genuinely felt like I was at home.

When we arrived, Darioush himself was home - the flame at the entrance was lit and a subtle but sign of his presence. We started the morning in the family lounge, where every table had Persian pistachios (and of course I helped myself 😂). Felix and Phil gave me the side-eye, but Farid who’s also Persian - quickly reassured me and said, “It’s a compliment in our culture.” So technically, I was just being respectful. They also served us Osetra caviar, but honestly, I could care less… those pistachios were everything.

Then came the private cellar dinner, truly magical. Surrounded by bottles older than me (literally, he had vintages from my birth year and before), I was in wine heaven. It was a little chilly underground and they gave me a blanket.

On the way out, I met the sweetest man in his 90s sitting at the bar with his pistachios. Naturally, I joined him🤷🏾‍♀️ and when he offered me a sip of his Syrah, I hesitated for 0.2 seconds. Best decision ever. Possibly the best Syrah I’ve had in years!
