Yesterday I received the extremely devastating news that Michael Sherwood has sadly passed away. I didn’t know Michael for as long as other people in the Long Island theater scene did but in a way it felt like I had known him for a long time. He was such a kind and gentle soul backstage and was such a pleasure to work with onstage as well. Me and him had a lot of similar opinions about all sorts of things. He felt like someone I could relate to in a lot of ways. He was Long Island’s FDR through and through. Rest easy Michael. You left your mark here and you will be very dearly missed. by @leskojacob

New show announcement!! While I’m currently playing Lido in the Yacht rock experience I am also gonna be in the @rochesteroperahouse TYA production of “How I became a Pirate!” I’ll be playing the role of Swill the Pirate! Jacob is a graduate of Manhattanville University with a BFA in Musical Theatre and is thrilled to be performing in the New York Theatre Festival. He has done Summer Stock at Carousel Music Theatre in Boothbay Harbor Maine, the Barn Theatre in Michigan and is off to The Rochester Opera House in New Hampshire this summer. He has also performed at Idlewild Splash Zone in Pennsylvania and as the Conductor on The Polar Express. Other favorite credits include The Happy Elf/Curtis, Something Rotten/Nigel, Brigadoon/Harry Beaton, Godspell/We Beseech Thee soloist/Jesus, Heathers/Ram Sweeney, See Rock City/Tour Guide, Cinderella/Prince Charming, Diary of a Wimpy Kid/Rowley. He is a NYC based actor and has performed Broadway Cabarets at Sid Gold’s Request Room, Feinstein’s 54 Below, The Green Room 42 and Don’t Tell Mama. Two new shows coming up that I’m going to be a part of! Coming up first is a musical adaptation of the F Scott Fitzgerald novel “This Side of Paradise” which I will be making my off broadway debut in as the character Tom D’Invillers! It is such an honor to be making my off broadway debut with this show and it’s been an absolute blast every step of the way so far! Check the link in my bio for tickets!! Then after that I’m heading to the Rochester Opera House in New Hampshire for the summer to perform in a new musical called “Yacht Rock the Musical!” I’m taking on the role of Alfredo “Lido” Calzone and singing some iconic yacht rock tunes! Can’t wait to get started on this project as well!! Zoo Wee Mama!!! It brings me great pleasure to announce that I will be playing Rowley Jefferson in the @engemanchildren Ed Rep production of “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Musical!!” This rehearsal process has been an absolute blast so far bringing this goofy best friend to life and working with our incredible cast and creative team!
