AI is the tool. You're still the point.
NLP coach + AI adoption strategist for solopreneurs.
From overwhelmed to actually using it.
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
I have a chief of staff now. 😀

She doesn't have a name yet. Accepting suggestions...

she should sound capable but not intimidating. She runs a very tight operation.

She sounds like me. That part took the longest to build.

She also waits for approval before acting. Definitely not like me. 😂

Every Monday morning now I'll get a briefing.
My pipeline, my calendar, who needs follow-up. She researches networking events, podcast opportunities, trends in my space, and advises how to unravel all my ideas.

I spent the weekend building this.

A full AI operating system for Accorda Advisory.

Not someone else's template. Mine. Built around exactly how I think, how I work, and what my clients actually need.

Solopreneur. Just me and
so much to do.

Twenty-four hours into the project... holy crow, the difference it's already making.

The capacity to show up alongside companies with big teams? That gap just got a lot smaller.

My creative era is at a peak right now.
I do the relationships & the conversations...
the work that actually requires me.

The possibilities are genuinely endless... and I'm just getting started.

I’m not the funny one.

I’m the one who says the wrong thing at exactly the right moment around funny people. 😅

Seriously, I sing the wrong lyrics.
Say half-right quotes.
Make comments that accidentally land.

And somehow I can take one funny thing someone says and absolutely run with it … to the point where you’re laughing so hard tears are running down your face, your lash glue is seconds away from completely giving up before you can finally squeak out the words, “stop I'm going to pee.”

Honestly … we all know laughter and a few other things are pretty solid for your health 😉

But really, laughter hits differently when your nervous system can finally breathe a little and you stop monitoring yourself the whole time.

And if you haven’t laughed that hard in a while … apparently you should come hang out with me. 😂

Who else knows exactly the kind of laugh I’m talking about?

Feel like you lost yourself as a mom?

Between cheer, every other practice on the calendar, errands, housework, and chasing the dot in the "Claude-chat-astrophe" ....

That's what I call it when you're running five projects at warp speed, the dots keep you chasing them...

Which chat was that idea in? No clue. And the constant thought of "am I late for something?"

It's easy to forget to not be so compartmentalized and lose myself in any one of those compartments.

So, we painted our toes hot pink.

Somewhere in all the running, it's easy to become the role.

I made a conscious choice recently to let my daughter see me dressed up for a night out, see me as someone's girlfriend, experience me as a confidant who can just empathize & not fix, and as a girl who gets scared too with goals she's still going after.

Whether you're doing all the things or AI is doing all the things, it's easy to wake up wondering which part is still yours and showing up for you.

Hot pink toes (with my girlie) are still mine. 💅

Send this to the girlfriend who needs the reminder.

Hang with me on how this ties AI and my partner bringing me flowers together. 🫪

Someone asked me how managers/leadership can stay deeply human while accessing incredibly intelligent technology in our lives.

Small correction on my end.
My world is people.

We talk about AI like it's about to take the humanity out of people...even work.

Consider, email and cubicles already did a version of that. Everybody sat down, faced a screen, and typed to each other all day.

We stayed human anyway, in hallways and phone calls and the ten minutes before a meeting started.

Because we chose to.

I hear the big but coming.
But "AI is different".
Yep, it is. I agree.

We still get to choose to remain deeply human.

Especially knowing the *fear is real that people who use AI the most are more than twice as likely to worry their job goes away.

What brought that worry down was a manager who actually talked with them about it.👏

Your relationships were never the thing getting automated.

Which brings me to the flowers.

He's brought me flowers every week for three and a half years.

Deeply human is a choice somebody keeps making on purpose.

Even if our whole job gets automated tomorrow, that part stays.

Send this to the person at work who makes it feel human. 💐

Went to a networking event last week and realized I'm rusty. So I gave myself a pep talk in the parking lot as I was heading in.

Later, I listened to Vanessa Van Edwards on Diary of a CEO, which would have been handy before the event.

Even with AI writing half our words now, interesting and warm is still ours to do.

Turns out there are 3 levels to being a great conversationalist and I had gotten a little rusty.

Level three is where I like to hang out, which is its own problem, because somebody's standing in front of me feeling like they handed me their diary before they got my last name.

RETIRE THESE
"What do you do" - gives you a job title.
"How are you" - gives you a weather report.

TRY THESE
LEVEL ONE: easy and low stakes
•What was the highlight of your day?
•Any fun plans coming up?
•What are you working on right now?

When you ask a real question, then another one, people light up about what they want and what they're building.

Check out comments for all 3 levels.

Tell me where you like to hang out. One, two, or three?

Her book Conversation lands October 6. Until then the episode is worth every minute. My friend Kathy Carlisle built an app for exactly this called Plunge and it's great too. by @lesleybodine

You can know how an AI tool is supposed to work and still freeze, doubt the second it's your turn to use it.

That freeze has nothing to do with being smart, or being behind.

Knowing how something works and trusting yourself to actually do it are two different muscles, and only one of them gets built in a tutorial. The other requires a different permission.

The tutorial hands you information. What it never hands you is permission to be a beginner, be slow, even get it a little wrong without making it mean something about you.

After having more working sessions with other entrepreneurs... giving them that permission makes a difference.

We look at the quiet story running underneath, the one that turns a wrong answer into proof of something about you, and we start to loosen it.

That permission is real work.
You don't get it in a course, and it's the whole difference between the thing you learned and the thing you actually use.

Gartner said it... "humans are even less ready to capture AI's value than the tools are to deliver it."

The gap lives in trust. In trusting yourself, and in trusting whoever helped you put the tool in place.

As solopreneurs and entrepreneurs, we wear so many hats. If you had someone to hold your hand through it, what's the one thing you'd actually want to learn? by @lesleybodine

Big companies are doing AI backwards, and it's stalling.

Good news or bad news for small business?

Good news.
A small, nimble business can move in ways a giant never could. That's the opportunity, my friends.

Whether you're a giant or a solopreneur, the people part is everything. People first, people during, people after.

For entrepreneurs it gets especially overwhelming.

Scattered information, hyped tools, endless options. Most small business owners just need someone to come alongside them for a bit and point the way.

For me, that's been having a developer guide me hands on through the technical build of my app.

The confidence and know-how it's given me is exactly what most entrepreneurs are missing. It makes all the difference to have someone in it with you... not one more thing on the never-ending to-do list.

I work on the people side of AI. I've also learned to build my own Claude cowork skills and an operating system.

So I keep hearing the same question. Can you help me?

Yes, I can. Yes, it's a process. Yes, it takes time. Yes, it's essential. Yes, I'll hold your hand and walk you through it.

This is a window of opportunity. Take it.

If you've been wondering how to start without fumbling through it alone, this is it. I'm taking a small group through the early version of what I'm building, hands on.

We start with a quick adoption snapshot, get clear on what needs to happen, build a two week plan together, then get you moving in a couple of hands-on sessions.

Want in? Send me a message and I'll send you the snapshot to see if we're a fit. by @lesleybodine

I caught myself doing something, actually a few things, I coach people out of.

I had three verticals on this account.
Three.
One for AI, one for NLP thought leadership, one for midlife wellness... rabbit holes I likely overshared. 😂

Turns out I was afraid to show up in one clear lane... worried about what people might think. 😂

Even using AI skills & coaching,
none of us are immune.
We usually just catch it faster.

20+ years as an entrepreneur.
Then 5 years riding shotgun to CEOs in startups.
Yeah... I know a thing or two & clear the noise to hear the signal.

What I keep hearing...
in coaching sessions, with solopreneurs, in the people who spend their evenings searching, learning, falling down AI rabbit holes... is this:

Some feel it as an identity.
Automating feels like losing your voice, the quiet worry that if something else shows up in your place, it won't really be you.

Others feel it is pure overwhelm.
I have 99 problems and having another AI hat to wear isn't going to be one of them. 😂

As solopreneurs we're already wearing every hat.

AI shows up as something else to figure out, another course to buy, another item on a list that's already full.

The reality is... we need help.
Real help.
Not another tool to learn or another tutorial to save for later.

This is a very specific niche.
NLP coaching + AI readiness + hold your hand and show you + implementation.

For solopreneurs who need to reduce overwhelm and want to build what actually sticks.

The internal work...
the belief underneath, staying human and people first, the nervous system response nobody is naming... that part comes first.

That's the lane I'm in.

A quiz is coming that will show you exactly which pattern is in your way. Stay tuned.

Mila decided my shoulders were a perfectly reasonable place to practice her balance.

I decided to let her... because let's be real, the fact that I can still do this in my mid-fifties felt worth documenting. 😉😂

Hair completely in my face. Absolutely zero grace.
Ten out of ten would do it again.

This is my favorite kind of cool-mom, older-mom pool vibe. 🤍

Every other weekend is mine with Mila.

I'm not spending a single one Googling "things to do near Vancouver" only to feel like I got distracted and missed something cool to do.

So I built a Claude skill.

Sat down and actually thought through what we love, what makes her laugh, what feels fun without breaking the bank.

Can I get an amen for that?

Then I built one for my boo too because...
 same energy.

Getting clear on all of that...
honestly, that part alone was worth something.

Then I put it all in and let it work.

First version? A little generic.

Final version? Holy crow.

Experiences I never would have found on my own... and it keeps getting better every time I refine it.

Hours of research I genuinely don't have time for...

Boom now it's done.

Specific to us...
Now that's unique and priceless.

Building these made me more creative, more clear, present, and supportive, not less.

Claude skills didn't replace my thinking. It expanded it into actual action.

It feels great to not feel behind the eight ball anymore. It feels great to remove pressure with "what are we doing this weekend"?

This takes time the first go around. That's the messy middle nobody really talks about.

If you want a shortcut through it... that's exactly where I come in.

More to come. 👀 by @lesleybodine

95% of our decisions are made by the subconscious mind.

That sounds dramatic until you start thinking about your own patterns.

I was sitting under this massive tree and kept thinking about how much of its strength is completely hidden.

For years in coaching, we were taught to find someone’s “why” and attach it to emotion for people to achieve their goals. Of course that matters...a strong why can move people.

But did you know you can go deeper than the why?

Before a goal can actually stick, it has to make sense to the whole system. (In NLP, this is part of what’s called an ecology check.)

Your conscious mind may say, “I want this,” while something underneath may be asking:

“What might I lose that I value if I achieve this?”

“How might they respond if I change?”

Oof. That’s where resistance starts to make more sense, and this applies to more than personal goals.

It shows up in tech adoption too.

A company can roll out a new system, train the team, explain the benefits, and still wonder why people quietly keep doing things the old way.

We're shaped by beliefs, trust, safety, identity, and whether people understand what the new tool means for their role, their value, and their daily work.

When you skip that layer and just push a new goal or technology in, the old pattern usually wins.

The decision may look recent, but the pattern usually isn’t. Something to think about, before people adopt something new, some part of them has to believe the change is safe enough to become familiar and that requires a layer most companies and people miss.

Apparently there are 5 AI leadership archetypes.

Naturally, I had to know mine immediately. 😂

So I ran myself through Identity Alchemist™ ... a custom GPT I have access to through my AI advisory work, and holy crow, the output was a lot.

My dominant archetype is Architect.
I see systems. Structure. Workflows. The bigger strategic blueprint.

It showed me something I wasn't expecting.
You can be more than one.
I also carry Translator, Navigator, and Catalyst energy.

The future of leadership, especially in an AI world, isn't about one identity. It's about knowing which part of you needs to lead in each moment.

Knowing your archetype is the map.
It's worth knowing yours.

I'm offering a few free walkthroughs of Identity Alchemist™ here. If you're curious... send me a message. I'll take you through it. Yes, it'll be free for you. 🙂‍↕️

If you're wired anything like me…
if it's free and legal...
you're already typing. 😄
