The Trees Have Rings. I Have Questions.

Went hiking at Walnut Bluffs and stumbled into a forest of towering white pines. Thousands of them. Counted roughly 60 rings on a fallen tree, and suddenly my old Ohio State dendrology classes came rushing back.

Rumor has it the Boy Scouts planted these trees decades ago. Could they be part of the old campground’s history?

New weekend address. Same demanding roommate.

Checked into our “woodland retreat” with the best of friends at Dillon State Park! No room service, no Wi-Fi, but the Blackstone kitchen is fully operational.

Zuzu has already claimed the best seat in the “tent”. Naturally, she’s expecting five-star service.
