Mrs. B’s Cannoli by @lesliebelkner

Sometimes life takes unexpected twists and turns.
In case you don't know me, my name is Leslie Belkner. Many of you know me through my kids, their sports, or my career in real estate. But first and foremost, I am a mom to two amazing college kids.💙Being boys, they love to eat. Being Italian, that has never been a problem for me. I LOVE to cook - it’s in my DNA! 🇮🇹
The unexpected twist and turn that I never saw coming…
Last spring, during baseball season of my son’s senior year, we were getting ready to host the team for a "pasta party."
Noah wanted Chipotle, so I assumed we’d serve churros for dessert. But to my delight and surprise, Noah said, “No, Mom. Cannoli. Your cannoli.” I laughed at the culinary crossover and got straight to work rolling dough paper-thin, making the shells, and whipping ricotta. 100% authentic and everything from scratch, continuing the family tradition that’s been handed down to me for generations. I figured I’d make a couple dozen, the boys would inhale them, and that would be that.
Except that wasn’t that.
To my amazement, the boys went crazy. “Mrs. B, you made these?! These are awesome!” The platter of cannoli was devoured in a matter of seconds and they were clamoring for more. I thought to myself, really of all things, cannoli?
Over the next few days, kids and parents alike were approaching me about cannoli!
And just like that, a simple request by my son turned into MRS. B’s CANNOLI - the little side hustle I never saw coming.
So here I am hoping you’ll let me bring a little piece of my family’s table to yours this Thanksgiving🦃🩷
Every cannoli is made from scratch and filled the day you pick them up.

What a journey!🚀 I am always grateful to join close friends in celebrating their next chapter….
Tim and Betty came to me to help them “explore the idea” of downsizing, but they weren’t quite ready. Selling their cherished five-bedroom family home in Somerville, a place full of twenty-five years of memories was sure to an emotional feat. Would they be able to let go of history, turn the page, and discover their next chapter?
In a matter of days, Tim and Betty looked at an eclectic and stunning two bed artist loft condo at @brickbottomartists right in their beloved Somerville and they couldn’t get it out of their minds - they just had to have it! They had found their next chapter. There was only one problem. We needed to get their house market ready and coordinate a sale on the same day as their new purchase! After just one open house, we found their perfect buyer!
We then embarked on a warp speed journey coordinating moves, financing, closing dates, all while keeping family priorities front and center. And through it all, they always radiated positivity and were such a delight to work with😊♥️ Now, they’re loving their new vibe with #loftlife, and seeing them this thrilled is what makes the trials and tribulations of this oftentimes challenging profession 💯 worthwhile!
Grateful friends, grateful heart. #homesweethome❤️🏡 #SomervilleRealEstate #DownsizingDone #buyers #sellers #somerville #brickbottomartists #brickbottom #loftlife by @lesliebelkner
