Soul Searching and Free Falling quilts 💙🩷

The Sweetwater Peak novels have meant so much to me so for my second quilt (Free Falling) and fifth quilt (Soul Searching) I wanted to make something for @authorlylasage

Free Falling came together in 13 days! Soul Searching took a little longer at 27 days. I started sewing just back in March, so this is your sign to pick up that new hobby!

Thank you to everyone cheering me on in the close friends stories! Thank you Lyla Sage for writing these beautiful books - if you keep writing, I’ll keep quilting for you. Thank you everyone at @therippedbodice for all the love on these 💖 by @lesliereadsagain

Did I spend too much money at New York Comic Con?

I’ll let you be the judge, mostly because I’m still scared to look at my bank account 🫣

I got so many goodies for myself and some of my favorite people, so it was all money well spent. And there are so many freebies in this pile as well

Some of my absolute favorite things I got are the dragonite print and tote from @matsumoto_art , the Godzilla desk mat from @idwpublishing , the ai vandalism stickers from @permafriends and the oracle deck from @yoshiyoshitani @penguinrandomhouse

So bodies are weird…

With everything that’s wrong with me, I can’t stand for very long. If I’m walking around, my blood is flowing and also I’m more distracted from the chronic pain. But if I end up standing still, blood starts pooling, vision goes black, and I’m all too aware of everything that hurts. (Some days I consider making my spine xray my lock screen to easily show people how messed up my body is lmao)

So enter the deep squat, easier to get out of than a full sit, and comfy enough to hang out in for a decently long time. Yeah, I still black out every time I stand up, but that’s more predictable for me to work with than standing still and heart racing and being a faint risk.

I’ve considered bringing a collapsible stool or similar but that’s one more thing to carry. So for as long as my body allows this, I’ll be down here.

Thanks to all the booths who had ADA plans, and to the booths who didn’t, I hope you do better for future events. And no, “the line goes pretty fast” is not proper accommodations.

6 full days of Leslie & Kat have unfortunately come to an end 💔

I’m so glad we got to spend NYCC 2026 together & it’s a crime that the next time we have scheduled on the calendar to see each other is 6 months from now.😭 (We will definitely be figuring out a time to see each other sooner)

Thanks for being the best & i’m so grateful to books & the internet for introducing us 💗 (now move closer to me asap please) taken in Javits Center by @lesliereadsagain

I loved the vibes of today! We had very few hard plans to work around and it led to the best day full of surprises

Haters never gonna find me here 🤫

Nerds are the best and you’ll never convince me otherwise. Now if we could get the nerds to wear deodorant though…
