Bryce Canyon Ultras 50K — 1st Overall 🏆

Yesterday, I ran my first ever ultra.

It’s hard to put into words what this one means to me. For months, I’ve poured myself into this—early mornings, late nights, long runs, road races, endless miles, and plenty of moments where I questioned how far I could really take myself. From day one of beginning this training block I’ve envisioned myself crossing the line 1st, every single run, every single day.

There was blood, sweat, and more than a few tears along the way. But crossing that finish line and seeing my parents there cheering for me made every mile worth it. That moment will stay with me for a long time.

I started running with a goal, but somewhere along the way it became something much bigger. It’s taught me that you can surprise yourself when you’re willing to be uncomfortable, stay patient, and keep showing up.

This was my first ultra, but it certainly won’t be my last.

The road ahead is long. I’m dreaming about @utmbmontblanc racing through mountains and cities around the world, and seeing just how far I can take this.

For now, I’m just incredibly grateful for my body and the things it’s able to do. taken in Hatch, Utah by @lesliesylusgray
