Finally decided to hop on the 2016 nostalgia bandwagon, and I have to say it really was a great year 😅 I traveled extensively across LatAm, Asia and Africa. My future wife and I took our relationship to the next level. I graduated with my MBA and moved to the other side of the world. 🌏 #2016 #fyp #throwback by @lestalkwine

Because your snow day deserves better ❄️🍷

These three wines come from Napa and Sonoma and are all from wineries where I was once a member. Each wine is estate-grown, exceptional, and high quality, bringing you a distinct expression of California wine.

Élu – St. Supéry (Napa Valley)
• What makes them unique: St. Supery is a renowned, 100% estate-grown winery in Napa Valley’s Rutherford region, specializing in Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Owned by CHANEL since 2015 (yes, that CHANEL), it is certified Napa Green, emphasizing sustainable, eco-friendly farming.
• In the glass: Blackberry, espresso, anise, refined tannins.
• Style: Structured, elegant, commanding.

Eastside Zinfandel – Brown Estate (Napa Valley)
• What makes them unique: Brown Estate is the first Black-owned estate winery in Napa Valley and is recognized for producing high-quality Zinfandels. This family-owned winery provides an approachable, yet refined experience at their tasting room in downtown Napa which is often described as an “urban wine oasis”.
• In the glass: Hibiscus, rose water, raspberry liqueur, bright red fruit.
• Style: Floral, expressive, magnetic.

Savoy Vineyard Pinot Noir – Littorai (Anderson Valley)
• What makes them unique: Littorai Wines is a premier, family-owned producer specializing in terroir-driven Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the Sonoma Coast and Anderson Valley. Known for its pioneering use of biodynamic farming and low-intervention winemaking, the winery emphasizes sustainability and produces nuanced, age-worthy wines. Owner/winemaker Ted Lemon was the first American to manage a Burgundy estate.
• In the glass: Red cherry, rose petal, soft spice, silky texture.
• Style: Graceful, nuanced, quietly powerful.

Different soils. Different styles.
Same rule: only wines with presence.

Headed to Champagne? Don’t pop the cork on your trip before reading this 🍾

These are the 5 biggest mistakes I saw travelers make in Champagne — and how to avoid them so your trip sparkles ✨

🍇 1️⃣ Only visiting for one day
Champagne is conveniently located just an hour outside Paris, so many people just drop in for the day but you can’t “do” Champagne in a day — you’ll barely scratch the surface (and miss all the magic). Stay at least 2–3 nights to truly sip, stroll, and soak it all in.

🏙️ 2️⃣ Only visiting Reims
Reims is the center of the Champagne region and home to many of the most famous houses, but there’s so much more to explore. Stroll down the famous Avenue de Champagne in Épernay to visit the caves and tasting rooms of some of the most iconic houses. Then head to the Grand Cru and Premier Cru villages for small-producer gems: Aÿ, Hautvillers, Bouzy… each village has its own charm (and champagne worth discovering).

🍾 3️⃣ Only visiting the big houses
Moët, Veuve & Taittinger are iconic — but the real heart of Champagne beats in the small grower houses. These family-run domaines offer intimate, behind-the-scenes experiences you’ll never get at the grande maisons — think vineyard walks, glimpses of production, and stories straight from the winemaker. Don’t skip the small houses!

📅 4️⃣ Not making reservations
Champagne runs on appointments only — even at tasting rooms that look casual. Book in advance or risk sipping disappointment instead of bubbles.

👠 5️⃣ Dressing inappropriately
Skip the heels and heavy perfumes/colognes. You’ll be touring caves, walking vineyards, and meeting winemakers — think chic yet practical. Keep in mind that temperatures can also be quite chilly in early mornings and evenings, and that temperatures in the caves average 50 – 54°F (10 – 12°C).

Save this post for your future trip to Champagne — because you deserve to sip it the right way 🫶🏼🍾

This is the Champagne Boizel Atelier 1834 and you need to add it to your Épernay list. Here’s why it’s worth a visit:

🍾 Heritage: Family-run since 1834, delivering generations of consistency and dedication to an elegant, balanced style

🍾 The Location: Right on the famous Avenue de Champagne (UNESCO listed!)—the epicenter of bubbly heaven

🍾 The Secret: They have the famous Trésor Cellar, a vault of family vintages dating back to their first year! Seeing bottles from 1834 is a history lesson unlike any other

🍾 The Vibe: Their modern tasting room, Atelier 1834, is the perfect blend of contemporary style and deep tradition

I recently took my first trip to Champagne and absolutely fell in love! During my visit I learned so much about the history, production and culture that makes Champagne so unique.

Here are 5 quick facts you didn’t know about the Champagne region:

1. Champagne is located just an hour outside of Paris and is the coolest and northernmost wine region in France. Known for its white, chalky soils and rolling hills, Champagne is one of the most recognized wine regions in the world 🇫🇷

2. Eight grape varietals are permitted to be grown within Champagne, but only three varietals make up 99% of vineyards planted and account for the vast majority of champagne production: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Petite Meunier 🍇

3. Champagne Hillsides, Houses and Cellars are all officially recognized UNESCO World Heritage sites as of 2015 🌍

4. During WWI the chalk caves (known as crayéres) were used as shelters and in some, you can find original carvings or graffiti made by the people who sheltered there. Unfortunately, 40% of the vineyards in Champagne were also destroyed during this time 🕊️

5. Champagne cru classification, a key indicator of quality, is by village and not by champagne house. There are 17 Grand Cru villages and 44 Premier Cru villages, representing the crémé de la crémé of champagne production. Within the region, there is an overall total of 390 maisons and over 16,000 growers 🍾
