Let me introduce myself! My name is Barbara, I’ve been with my husband for 13 years and we are blessed with 4 amazing kids. We live in Texas on a small farm 💙❤️ My book loving started when I was a child. I had that little moment where I didn’t read anything when I started “adulting”. Kids and all you know? But I’ve got my reading groove back and I am teaching my littles the love of reading. Todays bookmail DID NOT disappoint! I’m so excited to add this beauty to my shelves. If you follow me, you know how much this series means to me. The Silversmith was my first ever ARC read and I was privileged to read the second book - The Incendiary. I absolutely love this series and am waiting impatiently for Book 3! The book covers are beautiful. The page inlays are so gorgeous! The books are beyond amazing. Both books are available on KU and also available in paperback. I AM NOT OKAY. WHATSOEVER. The Incendiary by @ljclaren ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ First things first… Did you really have to end it like that LJ?! I mean what?! I started with so many questions and I got answers. But now I’m with even more questions! I have been anxiously waiting for this book for a year and the wait was worth it! Amazing work by LJ Claren and I can’t wait to see what’s in the next book. Ary has come into herself in this book and I’m so dang proud of her! She had me in tears in so many parts of the book. And Gavin Smyth? Yessss please! I loved reading his flashback POV, it was so swoon worthy and brought all the emotions. I’m still very unsure how I feel about Elias Winterton, part of me wants to like him but part of me doesn’t believe he’s worthy of Ary. The amount of tears, gasps, mouth dropping, “I need a moment to comprehend” moments I had reading this book was beyond any book I’ve read lately. I have to say this will be one my “THE” books for me this year. I’ve already preordered my hardcopy and can’t wait to have my hands on it. When will the audio be released also? I will be needing that in my library as well! Amazing job LJ, now let us know the next release is soon 🤣 pretty please! It’s here! It’s finally here! One of My most anticipated ARC reads of year is finally in! I’m only 195 pages in, and the amount of highlighting I’ve done!! (Coming from a reader who doesn’t highlight often, that should tell you something.) I’m already feeling the emotional rollercoaster on this one. I can sense that I will NOT be okay once I get to the end. If you haven’t read The Silversmith, hop to it and be prepared for the release of The Incendiary on September 8. Newest two book babies to add to my TBR! I’m so nervous about the THICKNESS of these, but I’ve seen so much good reviews that I had to add to my never ending list… I’m hoping these make it into my Summer Reading pile! Guys, Buying books and reading said books are TWO complete different hobbies. I just happen to entertain both. 😅 I’m so desperately working on getting through my TBR and YOU my friends are not helping with allll the amazing books you posts. But please, don’t stop posting and giving me more books to read. 🤩 Side note: I’m actually half way there to having my own “official” library! 500 and counting!! This is such an exciting moment for me. Q: Do I have the space for all the books? A: Absolutely not! Q: Does that stop me from adding to the problem? A: Absolutely not! Q: Do I get nervous about my husbands reaction to my problem? A: Absolutely not! He knew I was a book nerd when he met me. June is here! My kiddos are home for the summer meaning less rushing around for school, work and all the yearly things. I absolutely HATE the Texas heat that we endure but LOVE the slowing down that summer brings us. We get to enjoy the pool, sleep in, have movie nights, travel a little, and just take in the moment. I have a list of June reads that I am currently working on. It looks hectic… but I have my system 🤣 While I clean or cook, I’m listening to the Audible of •The Silversmith by @ljclaren , in anticipation of •The Incendiary ARC that I’m literally checking my email twice a day for. *Hint hint LJ 😉 In the early mornings when kiddos are still asleep, I’m reading •Sold on A Monday by Kristina McMorris. I’m about 62 pages in, and it’s so far very interesting. Outside as I play life guard, while my kiddos swim, I’m beginning to read •Meet Me at The Lake by Carley Fortune. I’ve held this book to the side for a few months, waiting for the summer vibes to kick in. Then once everyone is down for the night, I’m picking up •Broken Souls and Bones by @authorljandrews on my Kindle. I’ve been reading through The Broken Kingdoms Series and The Ever Seas Series, this is next on my list to read by LJ Andrews. I missed the ARC deadline but that didn’t stop me from ordering as soon as I could. The quests continues to save not only Vivienne’s love but also the world. Amazing job on this part of the story! The Broken Kingdom Series by LJ Andrews Last year I picked up The Ever Seas Series and absolutely loved the books. After some research and Booksta posts from LJ and other friends, I realized I read them way out of order. But not to worry, I was able to make sense of it all regardless and I’m so happy that I found this world. So I finally found time to get ahold of The Broken Kingdom Series, and oh my goodness they were all so good. This series has a total of nine books, that are about 4 enchanting kingdoms. These kingdoms are all connected in ways that start making sense as you read through the series. It’s a series that once you start, you don’t want to put down. The storyline Viking fairytale romantsy vibes and I was there for it! There’s world building, enemies to lovers, distinct magic, found family, fate, adventure, touch her and 💀… There’s a little bit of it all. I definitely recommend a deep dive into this Broken Kingdom world and then work yourself over to The Ever Seas Series.
