Sit down with your coffee, wine or while you’re getting ready in the morning while we dick around and do our makeup for an event 😘

I wish I was sorry for how long it is, but frankly I’m not - we’re clearly comedic genius’ + it was originally 2hrs long 🙃

Alright, I’ll say it 👀

There is a severe lack of updated education these days for lash techs - and it’s getting a little dangerous.

You’re working on people’s eyes, and it is so easy to blind them or cause permanent serious damage.

Updating and upskilling your knowledge is this ever evolving industry is imperative for success but also for safety - clients and your own. 💘

I’m not saying go and buy every course possible on the market, but I am saying be smart about where you’re placing your cash as well as how your spending your spare time - the internet is a never ending wormhole of information 🤷🏼‍♀️ taken in Melbourne, Australia by @lethal_beauty_

My first LED set 👀⚡️

For those thinking of also going on an LED journey, or just those following along at home, these are things I’ve noted:

• My gorgeous client has had LED before, but with the overhead lamp, not the tweezer attachment like I have, so she has the perfect previous experience to give us the best review ever!! She is also a lash tech so we were both wigging out a lil bit 🤪

• I felt like I was slower as got used to the system, curing times, placement, and just a new routine with a foot pedal involved - but only 1 minor sticky and she was easy af to seperate.

• I moved from eye to eye rather than one at a time, as that’s my norm routine, and it was easy as! The cords didn’t get in the way one bit like I thought they would - honestly I thought they’d be annoying af but I forgot they were there after 10 seconds!

• I didn’t have to change my glue at all, it didn’t go funky or stringy or change viscosity - and I was using it for roughly 1.5hrs 👀

• I smelt slight fumes when I opened the adhesive bottle and when did my drops in the glue ring, but after that I didn’t note any fumes or normal signs of irritation for myself or the client once we were in the thick of the service - this is my main reason as to why I’m exploring this so I’m really excited!!

• No bonder, nanomister, primer or fan was used before, during or after the service. No struggling with sliding adhesive on a unbalanced lash, no popping off lashes at the final brush, no stinging whatsoever at the end (as you see in the vid) without any of the traditional final touches.

• I went over the set at the end on each eye with the light on for about 15-20 seconds as a “final bond” to ensure everything was set. I did run the light over the top and bottom of the bases of the lashes.

• No heat, no stinging, no bright light, no dramas - truely a dream to work with!

I’ll keep you guys updated with the journey, retention especially, but also I want to start sharing the educational value I’ve learnt over the last 6 months of in-depth study 🤍
