Memories of my week in Seoul 🇰🇷 with @aaguiare ❤️

I can’t really put into words what this week meant to me.

Ana came all the way from Europe to Seoul to spend my birthday with me. I’m so used to traveling solo that, at first, I wasn’t sure how sharing an entire week together would go. But now I know this will forever be one of my favorite travel memories ❤️

Ana arrived in Korea as a friend and left as my best friend - someone I bonded deeply with and now can’t seem to go a day without messaging 😂

I left home about five months ago, and even though I’m having the best time in Asia, I constantly miss my friends, my home, and my dogs. Having Ana here felt like having a little piece of home with me again, and that’s a feeling I still can’t get over.

Going through these photos today brought all those memories back. The laughs, the conversations, the food, the little moments, our drawings sessions in the evening, the secrets we shared with each other and the feeling of being completely understood by someone.

Traveling with friends was always something I dreamed about, and somehow this year I unlocked that dream. I honestly couldn’t be happier.

Already looking forward to our next adventure together ❤️ taken in Seoul, Korea by @letis_go_

A few memories from my month in Namyangju 🇰🇷🤍

What started as a pottery trip became so much more than that.

A month of clay, moon jars, shared meals, laughter, and learning.

But what I’ll remember most is the kindness.

The generosity of the people who welcomed me into their studio, shared their knowledge, their time, and made me feel at home even when I was on the other side of the world.

Thank you, @hyunmoonshin @zzang_young2 and everyone at the studio @moonto.korea for making this experience so special.

I leave with a heart full of gratitude and memories I’ll carry for a very long time.

I can’t wait to be back 🔜

Yesterday at the ceramic festivals in Yeoju and Icheon 🇰🇷

I don’t even know how to put this day into words…

Seeing so many incredible pieces in person, meeting extremely talented artists, and being welcomed with so much kindness… it genuinely brought tears to my eyes 🥹

I don’t think I can fully explain what this day meant to me, or what being here in Korea means to me right now.

I’ve been obsessed with moon jars lately… and seeing so many of them up close felt really special.

I’m so grateful to @hyunmoonshin for having me at his studio, bringing me to the festival, and introducing me to so many amazing people.

And also to @lorsiripuncharlie from @claycirclebkk for making this connection possible.

This journey in Korea has been incredibly beautiful so far.

I love the country, the food, and the art… but what stands out the most is the kindness of the people I’ve met ❤️ taken in Korea by @letis_go_

I rarely travel with friends - I’ve always been more of a solo kind of girl. Which also means that when I’m living some of my best travel moments, I usually don’t have a familiar face to share them with.

So this week in Seoul 🇰🇷 with @amchiar and @jacobspoulsen felt really special. I got to share the moments, the laughs, the inside jokes, the struggles, and all the little everyday things with two people I truly love - two people who are part of my life even after the trip ends.

I’m lucky to make friends wherever I go… but traveling with people who already know me, who already matter to me, just hit differently.

It reminded me that it doesn’t really matter where I am - what matters is who I get to be there with 🤍 taken in Seoul, Korea by @letis_go_

Lately I’ve been sitting with this feeling that my heart is split into pieces.

A part of it is in Lisbon with my brother, my dogs, my friends, the version of me that feels rooted.

Another part of it is here in Thailand - a country I keep coming back to, that feels like a second home - and now that it’s time to leave, I already miss the routines I built, the people I met, the moments that somehow became memories I don’t want to let go of.

And then there’s a part of me already reaching forward to my next destination, to the unknown, to the next version of me that hasn’t even fully arrived yet.

And I realize this is how I’ve been living for a while now.
Leaving pieces of myself behind in every place I go, every chapter I live, every person I meet.

It’s beautiful, because it means I’ve truly been there.
I’ve loved, I’ve connected, I’ve allowed places and people to matter.

But it’s also a strange kind of sadness…
Because no matter where I am, there is always something or someone missing.

I can feel at home in so many places now and yet never fully, entirely whole in just one.

Sometimes I wonder if this is the trade-off.
To live a big, expansive life… but to carry a heart that is forever scattered across the world.

I don’t have it all figured out yet but maybe the lesson is not to try to gather all the pieces back, but to learn how to feel whole even when my heart is spread everywhere. 🤍 taken in Bangkok, Thailand by @letis_go_

I usually come to Thailand to train Muay Thai but this year, I guess the universe had other plans for me.

I injured my ankle, so as much as I’d love to be hitting the pads, that’s a no-go for now (trust me, I tried and it was a terrible decision 🫣)

So I had to find something else to pour my energy into, and if you know me, you know my heart is evenly shared between muay thai and pottery 🫶

I found @thutapottery on Instagram and was completely blown away by his work, so i booked a few sessions with him and now I’m *almost* grateful I injured my ankle, because it somehow led me here.

I’m having the time of my life in the studio with Eric - learning from him and honestly just soaking up his incredible energy.

I did not expect this plot twist - and yes its frustrating to be in Thailand and not train muay thai but im still enjoying my time here nevertheless 🇹🇭🫶 taken in Clay Circle by @letis_go_
