"Dalí e la Moda,” the new exhibition at @palazzorealemilano immerses you in a world where the observer becomes the observed.

Dalí’s works intertwine with creations by Dior, Chanel, Paco Rabanne and naturally, Schiaparelli, creating a fascinating play of illusions that invites us to question the very nature of reality and, above all, the way we perceive it.

Dalí has always taught us to look beyond the boundaries of what we consider “normal,” to challenge established meanings and see things from unexpected perspectives. Perhaps an object, an image, or even an idea can never be fully understood from a single point of view.

We need to look with multiple eyes, from different directions, angles, and perspectives. And perhaps it is only by learning to shift our gaze that we can begin to glimpse the many truths hidden within life.👁️

Some of the shots created by the students of the Fashion Creative Lab summer course at @ied_milano

In less than a month, students with little to no previous experience brought true works of art to life, developing a complete project that combined the creation of a boned and eyeleted corset, moulage and draping techniques, and an extensive exploration of textile manipulation, from dyeing and embroidery to painting and many other techniques.

It was an intense journey of experimentation, research, craftsmanship, and, above all, creativity. A process they embraced with curiosity and courage, transforming their ideas into tangible and deeply personal projects.

Thanks to @nuala.goodman , who supported and guided them throughout the entire textile manipulation process, helping make these incredible results possible.

I couldn’t be prouder or happier to have had the opportunity to work with each and every one of these incredible creatives, each with their own unique vision, sensitivity, and creative language. Seeing them grow, experiment, and achieve such amazing results in such a short time has been incredibly rewarding.

Thank you all. It was truly wonderful. 🤍

How many times have we caught ourselves saying, “I can’t do this”? And how many times have I heard those same words from creatives...

When I ask, “Who said that?”, the answer is almost always the same:

“I did.”

The art of being an alchemist lies in transforming your emotions as you move through the very heart of the creative process.

Whatever your project may be, it’s essential to surround yourself with mentors, collaborators, and a team that can positively influence your creative journey.

Nothing is impossible.
Nothing is static.
Everything transforms.

This is what I teach.

*In the first photo, you see a painting that holds a deep meaning for me. Hanging at the entrance of the house where I have lived for many years, it accompanies and protects me every day. It once belonged to my landlady’s step-grandmother. This house has welcomed and healed me through some of the most intense moments of my life, and to me, this painting embodies its soul and its energy.💫
