From time to time, we have to remind ourselves why we do what we do.

There will be moments when it seems like those who plot, scheme, manipulate, & move without integrity are getting ahead faster. It may even look like they are winning while you’re doing things with a pure heart, staying true to your values, & yet your progress feels painfully slow.

But don’t be discouraged. Don’t abandon the journey. Don’t compromise who you are just because someone else appears to be moving faster.

Stay committed to the plans God has placed in your heart. Trust His timing, even when you cannot see the full picture. What God has ordained for you does not require you to become someone else to obtain it.

Pursue Him. Stay faithful. Keep showing up. Keep doing what is right.

In His perfect time, the things that are meant for you will manifest, align, and prosper. What seems slow today may simply be God preparing something greater than what you could see for yourself.

Happy Ghanaversary to @kvonsuede . You were determined to make sure that I was good when I obeyed God’s voice to move. You planned to only stay for one year but in an interesting turn of events, you stayed to see the Hand of God manifest in your own life. Thank you for supporting me, praying for me, fighting for me, encouraging me, reminding me of what I and your Dad taught you. Seeing me high and low. You have made great sacrifices for me and I grateful. Your family and friends have experienced your pure heart and I pray the world knows how much of a genius you are. May this journey you made with me be repaid 1 Million folds in abundance and favor.

Life can bring some pretty difficult blows but know this… the roads you take to avoid the truth will always lead to bad decisions, dangerous people and living uncharacteristically. Although painful and uncomfortable , face the truth now. Get good counsel and a healthy support system for those moments when you feel as if you’re going to break. They will hold you up. And by all means, get a good therapist and stay prayed up. You don’t have to escape the truth….learn how to navigate through it. ~ Letra by @letradavis

5 YEARS AGO TODAY…

I left behind everything I knew to begin a new life. (My son as well)

I didn’t know what was ahead.
I didn’t have all the answers.
And if I’m honest, leaving the people I loved brought a gut-wrenching agony that words can hardly describe.

But beneath the uncertainty was something stronger—a quiet conviction that this was the right decision.

Sometimes God will ask you to step away from what is familiar before He reveals what He is building.

An architect, doesn’t always see the full structure at the beginning. They start with a blueprint. They trust the vision/process. They establish the foundation. And then, piece by piece, what was once unseen begins to take form.

Faith is much the same.
Making life-altering decisions because God is your compass isn’t always easy. There are moments when the plans don’t make sense, the path feels unfamiliar, and you cannot see around the next corner.

But when He is the Architect and Captain of your life, you can trust that He knows exactly where He is taking you.

Five years later, I can look back and say:

I trusted Him then.
I trust Him now.
And I will trust Him with everything that is still to come.

I am His.

And because I am His, I know that He will accomplish His plan for me.

The journey hasn’t always been easy. But the foundation has been sure. And I’m still standing on solid ground.
