I’ve decided to change the name of my account.

Overtime, we all change, as I feel the direction of this account has.

When I started we were in the midst of a global pandemic. The account was as much about promoting British produce as it was rural mental health. Over time I feel the my content has moved more towards promoting rural mental health.

As much as I still strongly believe in backing British produce, eating locally and seasonally when possible. Let’s Go British, I don’t believe, reflects the main messages I am promoting.

I have, therefore, decided to rename the account Tractors Together. An account helping farmers and the rural community with their mental health through sharing my ongoing personal journey.

So good bye, Let’s Go British, hello Tractors Together

Most likely not…

Not all of the smiles in these photos are real. Some of these are a mask to cover how I was actually feeling.

This year has been tough, I’ve had some serious ups and downs, but the whole time I’ve smiled for the camera because until someone asks, no really, HOW are you? It seems easier to hide your true emotions.

Coming from a much better place emotionally, after admitting I was NOT ok, I can vouch that smiling for the camera all the time isn’t the answer.

So on world mental health awareness day…make sure you think, am I, or someone I know, REALLY ok.

And if you’re not…seek help. There are some amazing charities out there. Here are just a few.

The saying; a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, could not ring more true as, after 5 years, I have finally graduated from @harperadamsuni with a first class honours degree in Agri-Food Marketing and Business.

As cliché as it sounds, I would never have imagined I would achieved all the amazing things I have in the last 5 years.

Yes, there have been some major struggles and a few setbacks, but with the help, love and support of so many people, too many to individually mention, I am writing this post today with a fantastic, opportunistic and positive sense for the future.

The greatest lesson I have learnt over the last 5 years is to believe in myself. Because, the journey of a thousand miles, begins with believing in that very first, scary step.

A very oxymoronic day at NFU Conference 2025.

Despite the uncertainty of the future, I walked out of the QEII centre slightly more optimistic than I walked in.

It’s clear we have a big fight on our hands to stay relevant in the Government and Public’s eyes. But the unity of the farming community was evident and something we should all draw strength from.

It’s not just Blue Monday. Any day can be a blue day. Life doesn’t choose when to hit you with the blues. But what is so important to remember is…the sun will always come up. It may feel a long time until sunrise, but it will come. ☀️ 💙

2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣4️⃣ has certainly been a year!

It’s had its highs and it’s also had its lows. I got engaged and lost two toes! I can honestly say I’m not sure where the year has gone, as I’m sure you’ll probably agree.

This time of year is so busy, there’s so much to do, plan, prepare…and that’s on top of normal busy life!

It’s so easy to let the days blur into one and before we know it Christmas will be over and 2025 will be 2 months deep.

I’ve really learnt the value of family and friends this year, as well as making time to appreciate what I’ve achieved and let myself rest.

So, my end of year message to you all is: appreciate the moment, live in it and enjoy it. Use this as a reason to reach out to the friends you haven’t spoken to in ages. Hug your family or give them a quick call on Christmas Day. Life is precious and we only get one. Reflect on what you’ve achieved this year. Be proud of yourself and give yourself some time to rest and recharge before we hit 2025 running.

Every Farmer who attended yesterday made a sacrifice and I think it’s so important to emphasise this.

One of the reasons yesterday’s rally was so profound was because SO MANY farmers attended. Farmers who will have done almost an entire days work before making the trip to London.

I met a couple who had been up since 1am to feed their animals before getting a coach from Cornwall.

There were also those who sacrificed their health. Me being one of them. Still recovering from my foot surgery, living with Rheumatoid Arthritis and suffering from profound Raynaud’s, standing in the wet and cold yesterday left me feeling sick, dizzy, washed out and in agony. BUT IT WAS WORTH IT. It is worth a day in bed recovering today.

We must not forget the sacrifices farmers made yesterday and will continue to make to save our family farms.

British Farmers WILL NOT be silenced.

A proud but equally sad day to be a farmer. Seeing how the industry has rallied together, coming to London in unprecedented numbers has sent a CLEAR message of our strength to the Labour government.

HOWEVER

We should NOT be in this position in the first place.

We don’t own the land we farm, we just look after it for the next generation and for our generation, the previous generation and the generations to come, we will NOT BE SILENCED.

Thank you to EVERYONE for their support regardless of if you attended or not, your support is felt, acknowledged and appreciated. 🙏🏼 🇬🇧 👩🏼‍🌾 🚜 🌽
