What was former MLB great Travis Hafner thinking when he stepped up to the plate? How did he learn to be a great hitter? ⚾️
In his own words: "There are a lot of fingerprints on success."

Even MLB sluggers like Travis Hafner (42 HRs in a single season!) didn't get there overnight. Check out this conversation between @hafner_travis and @clint.hurdle13 as they chat about Hafner's hitting journey and the things that helped along the way.

💬 What’s one piece of hitting advice you've found useful? Drop it in the comments! 👇

Baseball is a game of inches. Even during tee drills.

Darnell Coles — 14 big league seasons and MLB hitting coach — walks through what changes when you move the tee just a little in Part 2 of his tee drill breakdown.

"It's not winning and losing. It's winning and learning." - Clint Hurdle

Throwback Thursday to Clint Hurdle Day, when @clint.hurdle13 shared the field with some of the country's future stars. He ran players through drills and handed out a few classic Hurdle-isms. Some of the wisdom was old school. One was new: using Bat Around to gamify and augment batting practice.

Clint Hurdle's most basic message for young hitters is one you've heard before: know your barrel and meet the ball where it's pitched.

#TBT to @clint.hurdle13 spending time with Ripken Baseball attendees earlier this summer.

He likes to mix tried-and-true fundamentals with what he calls "rebooting old school hitting" — tools like Bat Around that help you offer more to players during batting cage sessions.

What's the best piece of hitting advice you ever gave… or got?

It's fun, it's helpful, and seeing how far you can hit on screen makes cage time actually mean something.

That's the reaction we got at Ripken Experience Myrtle Beach this summer from players trying out Bat Around® at our mobile sleeve.

More from Myrtle Beach coming soon. Link in bio.
