Here's a fun showreel of some of the short horror/sci-fi films I've scored over the past couple of years. Working with these directors has been a fantastic experience, and I'm feeling blessed to get to work in such a creative space.

Finally got around to purchasing 'Nuke' (By @22method) and this thing ROCKS.
If you're looking for a classic TB-303 'wet synth' sort of sound, then this synth has you covered!
Hope you enjoy these tips and get to use them in your productions.

I present to you...the BONELORD!

One of my favorite themes from the cinematic audio adaptation of Awaken Online (Catharsis), as released by @soundbooththeater

@da3strikes has such a nuanced way of bringing darkness, humor, and humility to his characters, and it was a treat getting to put together such a variety of themes.

When Jason first interacts with Riley in our story, I wanted there to be a balace of friendliness, elegance, and simplicity.
This theme has some darker variations throughout as her character evolves, but for that first moment when Riley is introduced, this theme just felt right.

As always, biggups to @da3strikes for creating this wicked story/world. Be sure to check out the cinematic audio adaptation through the @soundbooththeater app!

As the first theme I wrote for the 'Awaken Online' cinematic production series by @soundbooththeater this theme has a special place for me.
Using some borrowed harmony and a fun little key change, the theme is a good blend of playful with some light tension.
This series, written by @da3strikes , has been really fun to read through, and even more fun composing for.
If you like spooky, litrpg, zombies, revenge, and stories with a darker tone then this series is for you.

This 'Lonely-Power' theme was written for the cinematic production of the book series 'Awaken Online', as written by @da3strikes and produced by @soundbooththeater

Jason goes through some extremes in this series. So, to tie together some of the bookends of his emotions (loneliness and power) just seemed to make senese.

The lonely theme is pretty much exaclty what you hear here, while the power theme is produced with chunky guitars, raunchy synths, and fat drums.

I figured I'd show a bit of the bare bones sketch of this idea so show where it all stared. by @letscookmusic

These drums...friggin rock...
I've already used these on two projects and they save me a ton of time when I'm going for something pop or funky. Bravo to the team over at @poplabsounds
I'll be keeping an eye on new software by this company!

I think writing darker music will also be my favorite. Something about the mix of theory and sound design just hits home.
Thanks to @beatsurfing for making their unique VST's that often get me out of writers block.
Be sure to follow @soundbooththeater for more audio book goodness, and updates on this series.
