Today marks one year since I started working out after giving birth. This postpartum journey was much shorter than my first, and I'm incredibly grateful that my body was able to recover so quickly, considering I didn't work out much during my pregnancy. I thought I would be at a disadvantage when trying to "snap back," but I learned that most women don't immediately "snap back" after childbirth, and that's perfectly fine. After all, why worry about some invisible timer, right? 😆 The main point I wanted to make is that it doesn't matter how long it takes. What truly matters is that you're living a healthier and more confident lifestyle. by @letsgetconfident28

Fighting body dysmorphia is really exhausting but things like this definitely always helps. For the 1st time in years i put on my uniform to see how it fits and i couldn’t be prouder 🥲 the girl in the left was hopeless and prayed not to wake up often because i hated everything about myself simply because i felt like a stranger in my own body. Now im learning who i am and working toward who i want to be. If you think you can’t i promise you can. 🫶🏾 by @letsgetconfident28

I spent a lot of my fitness journey focused on changing how my body looked.

Now? I care a lot more about what my body can DO.

I want to lift heavy.
I want to run faster.
I want to sprint with my kids someday.
I want to feel athletic, capable, and strong.

And honestly, that’s the version of fitness I wish more women knew they were allowed to want.

You don’t have to train just to get smaller. You can train to become more capable.

What’s something your body can do now that you used to think you couldn’t?👇🏾I wanna celebrate it with you. by @letsgetconfident28

If you want to become a better runner, you don’t need to run hard the entire time. You need to learn how to push, recover, and repeat. 🏃🏾‍♀️‍➡️🚶🏾‍♀️‍➡️🔂

Today’s workout:
4 x 3 min run → 1:30 walk
5 x 1 min run → 1 min walk

The 3-minute intervals help build your ability to hold a challenging pace for longer, while the 1-minute intervals let me turn up the speed and practice running fast when my legs are already fatigued.

Those recovery walks matter too. They bring my heart rate down enough to hit the next interval with intention instead of just surviving it.

That’s how I’m working toward better endurance, stronger finishes, improved speed, and feeling more comfortable when running gets uncomfortable. 😮‍💨

You don’t have to run nonstop to become a better runner. Train with purpose, recover with purpose, and let the work stack up. 🫀🫁

And yes, the Astro G’s have officially become part of the running uniform. 😂🕶️ @goodr

Hybrid girls, what are we working on right now: endurance, speed, or just trying to stop hating cardio?🤭

Friday lift = unilateral strength + power + posterior chain🏃🏾‍♀️‍➡️🏋️🏾‍♀️

Because if you want to become a stronger runner, your strength training should actually support your running.

⚡️ KB swings → broad jumps: explosive hip power
🍑 RDLs: hamstrings + glutes for stronger force production
💪🏾 Pulldowns + DB press: upper-body strength + control
🦵🏾 Crossover step-ups + bridge marches: unilateral strength + hip stability (aka questioning every life decision 😂)
🎯 Y/T raises: shoulder + upper-back stability
🔥 Reverse crunch → OH march: core stability while moving

I’m not training to be good at just ONE thing. I want to be strong, fast, athletic and capable.

That’s the whole hybrid girlie agenda. 🫱🏾‍🫲🏾

If you’re building strength AND chasing better runs, you’re in the right place. 🫶🏾 by @letsgetconfident28

Wednesday movement = upper strength + stability 🏋️🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️‍➡️

And yes, upper-body strength matters for runners too.

We’re building stronger pressing and pulling muscles, trunk control, shoulder stability, and the ability to maintain posture when fatigue starts showing up during a run.

The lateral lunge → bound with a controlled landing adds single-leg stability and force absorption, while the rotational work, Copenhagen plank, and fire hydrants help train the hips and core to work together instead of letting everything else compensate.

Because becoming a better runner isn’t just about your legs moving faster. It’s about your entire body learning to move stronger, stay controlled, and handle the demands of running.

Build the body that supports the sport you love. 💓 by @letsgetconfident28

Late 20s ≠ time to slow down. 🚷

If anything, this is when I want to make sure I’m still strong, fast, powerful & athletic.

Short sprints can help you build:
☞ speed + explosive power
☞ cardiovascular fitness
☞ stronger muscles, tendons & bones
☞ confidence in your body’s abilities

And you don’t have to be a track athlete to benefit from them.

Start with a few short sprints, take plenty of rest, and focus on quality over quantity.

Because I don’t want to just look fit as I get older…

I want to still MOVE like it. 🏃🏾‍♀️💨

Mom of 2. Late 20s. Still full sprinting on Saturdays.

And I plan to keep it that way💙

Who said getting older meant getting slower? 👀

Monday = lower strength + force production 🏋🏾‍♀️⚡️

Training like a Hybrid Girlie means I’m not just chasing strength; I want to be powerful, athletic, stable, and capable.

⚡️ Pogos + loaded jumps → reactive strength + explosiveness
🏋🏾‍♀️ Box squats → strength + force production
💪🏾 Eccentric pull-ups + floor press → upper-body strength + control
🦵🏾 Forward + reverse lunges → unilateral strength + stability
🏋🏾‍♀️ Rows → back strength
🦶🏾 Single-leg calf raises → ankle + lower-leg strength
🔥 Dead bugs + KB carries → core stability + control

And honestly? This is usually when people start checking out.

The last quarter of the year gets busy, motivation dips, and the goals you started with feel far away.

But this is where discipline has to show up.

You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to keep showing up for the version of you you’re building.

Strong. Fast. Capable. Athletic.

That’s the Hybrid Girlie way 😌

Who’s still showing up with me?👇🏾

Some days you’re excited to train. Other days you’re negotiating with yourself the entire time 😂

Tuesday was definitely the second one.

But this is your reminder: progress isn’t built only from the workouts you want to do. It’s built from the days you show up, adjust when you need to, and keep going anyway.

As a Hybrid Girlie, I’m learning that endurance is more than just running farther or getting faster; it’s building the confidence to trust yourself when things get uncomfortable.

And honestly… the post-workout feeling never misses. 🥹

If you’re in your “show up anyway” era, I’m right there with you. 💎✨🤍

What workout are you showing up for this week?

There’s just something about finishing a run, cooling down, and getting back into your day feeling like a whole new person ✨

I’ve been loving the little routines that make hybrid training feel like a lifestyle: move, sweat, reset, repeat.

And honestly, having a cute + functional fit that can take me from the run to the rest of my day definitely makes it better 🎀

Hybrid girlies, what’s your post-run non-negotiable? 👀 by @letsgetconfident28

Building a body that can do more. 🥼🧪

Monday movement for August = strength + power + stability.

This month, I’m training to be more than strong—I’m training to move better, jump higher, get stronger, and stay athletic.

Pogos + depth jumps → explosive power
Pause squats + speed out → strength & rate of force
Chin-ups + slow eccentrics → upper-body strength & control
Reverse lunges + knee drive → unilateral strength & stability
Carries + deadbugs → core strength & coordination

That’s the Hybrid Girlie life: building muscle while training for what my body can DO.🏃🏾‍♀️🏋🏾‍♀️

Save this for your next athletic strength day & let’s build bodies that can do more. 💕
