As a full-time DC police officer, slowing down isn’t always easy—but this weekend at the Melrose Hotel reminded me that rest can be luxurious too.

Wrapped in my robe, sipping champagne, indulging in room service, people-watching, and enjoying every refined detail without having to lift a finger. 🤍

Sometimes the ultimate luxury isn’t going somewhere far away… it’s giving yourself permission to pause, be pampered, and simply exhale.
