Why I read what I read 🫣❤️‍🔥
Some other important (aka more faves) are:
Addicted series: what I started with when I first got into reading again 2 years ago and created a love/hate relationship with long series 💞🥹 @authorkbritchie
Quicksilver: no words, how can I not be obsessed 😋🩶 @calliehartauthor
The Veiled series: second ARC read (Tangled Veil), got me into suspenseful romance 🤭🥵@elizamodistewrites
Hallowed Ground: the one book I thought would break me…military romance…🥺💖 @rebeccayarros

Slowly but surely trying to branch out in the book world with new authors and genres but I always circle back to my comforts ☺️ Day by day adding new worlds to my brain 😇

A little behind (per usual) but figured I’d share some goal for the year and socials because they just keep adding up 😅

I’m hoping to expand in the book world for 2026 (more engagement, more authors, more friends, and more books of course)

I’m always open to book recs or even a DM for life (and book) related things :)

Hope the first few days of the new year has been treating everyone well!! 💚

✨Coming November 5th✨

Title: Bones Between Us
Author: @elizamodistewrites

Blurb:
Nothing ever happens in Molasses Falls, West Virginia.
Well, aside from love life gossip regarding a man nicknamed Hot Grumpy Cop. The locals say that time moves as slow as molasses here. So, naturally, the body was buried just outside of city limits.
~*~
Asher Langdon is trying like hell to be a disciplined man. Being an officer in the Holler County police department means that he’s a rule abider. A justice seeker. A man who tells himself that he won’t allow distractions to waltz their way into his life, and wriggle their way under his skin.
Marisol Diaz is a distraction. When not living her purposefully quiet life at home with her teenage daughter, she is dressed in blues to serve her county just like Asher. While at work, though, she can’t help but taunt. Tease. Regularly revel in the flutters in her chest that occur when a particular officer gripes or grumbles.
Marisol claims that it’s all innocent, of course.
And Asher regularly tells himself that her distractive chaos is able to be professionally ignored until he is safely behind closed doors.
That’s all true. Until the budget cuts hit, and the precinct deems the two of them partners.

Partners who share a single car.

Partners who share lingering glances and scorching, taboo touches.
If the sergeant knew, they would instantly be stripped of their badges...but there’s more to worry about when they respond to a call for unearthed bones just outside of their hometown, Molasses Falls.
Pulses are flying for more reasons than one. A murder case is on their heels. A killer is on the loose. But they still have the need to share something forbidden, and pretend that it’ll only be just once.

✨TW: Depictions of domestic violence (not between the main characters), abduction, and murder.

One of these days I’ll get to a reread and or post my reviews but Addicted to You is what started ny getting back into reading and will forever hold a place inside my heart 🥹

Get your copy and show some love @elenijamesauthor 🫶🏻🙌🏻
Also available at B&N and ‘zon :)

Blurb:
Two crowns.
One ancient bond.
And a darkness that has come to claim them.
Princess Raea knew she’d have to wear a crown on her head, but never imagined she’d have the weight of the entire system on her shoulders. She knew of magic but never imagined she’d have ancient power, starfire, and that’s just the start of the awakening.
She’s not just tied to the prophecy of the war- she’s at the center of it.
Prince Anders “Ryker” Rykerson will protect her at all costs. No matter who, what, where, or when. But he can’t protect her 24/7. She’s her own, he has his own future to worry about.
When the veil falls, shadows appear- secrets come out, from family, the gods, and they must get answers.
Raea and Ryker, plus those closest and willing to do whatever for them, are forced to find that truth and unbury what was hidden.
Because in the brink of war,
Love is not a weakness,
It’s the power to save everything, or burn it all to ash.
