Manurewa High School — Term 3 cohort 🔥

A term of participation over perfection — micro-compounding fitness and movement.

For our final session, we challenged the mindset with a little incentive 👀🏆

Planks. Wall sits. Locking + New Skool sequences. Then learning a new sequence in under 5 minutes — all using a drop-off, reset and go again system.

There could only be one winner, but the experience showed growth in belief, confidence, resilience, positive reinforcement and shared understanding.

I believe these learners have further developed something even more important — believing in themselves.

Finished off with a little kai 🙌🏽

Huge congrats to our winners 🏆 and S/O to Mr Haanz for ensuring our learners are supported, cared for and challenged. Your ability to connect with learners and role-model excellent pedagogy has been incredible to have alongside us.

Teaching the bilingual unit at Homai Primary
hit different!

Te reo Māori. Samoan. English. Movement.

I’m not fluent, but I used what I knew, learnt alongside the students, and anchored myself in what I know best — movement.

At Let’s Siva, movement is the vehicle. The real mahi is building connection, confidence, resilience and belief in oneself.

Culturally responsive teaching starts with recognising who’s in front of you, valuing what they bring, and finding a way to connect.

Participation over perfection — for all of us. ❤️

At Let’s Siva, we don’t start by asking why a learner isn’t motivated.

We ask whether we’ve created the conditions for them to want to participate, learn and keep trying.

Sometimes engagement starts with changing the experience, not the learner.

Matipo Primary School 🤝🏾 Let’s Siva

Locked in for the next 3 years.

What we saw wasn’t just a celebration — it was a full community showing up.

100+ families, during the school day.
That doesn’t happen by accident.

That’s what happens when students feel confident, connected, and proud to share what they’ve built.

This is bigger than dance.
This is culture. Participation. Belonging.
