Ever wonder how to get young people more involved in the HIV response?In collaboration with @yplus_global , LetsStopAIDS is running a workshop at the Youth Pavillion for AIDS 2026 in Rio De Janeiro.Join us at 1pm on July 30 for an interactive workshop where participants will take part in group discussions, breakout sessions, and a hands-on visual mapping activity. Shame should never be part of anyone’s HIV story.On #ZeroHIVStigmaDay, we honour Prudence Mabele (July 21, 1971–July 10, 2017), the first woman in South Africa to live publicly and openly with HIV. Her courage created space for others to speak openly, get tested, access care, and live without shame.HIV stigma still keeps people silent about their status, afraid to seek support, and isolated when they need community the most.Together, we can break that silence by choosing facts over fear, honesty over judgment, and care over shame.Sharing accurate information without judgment is one of the most powerful tools we have to challenge stigma.Know the facts.
