It's been quiet on the creek for a few weeks -- AND HERE'S WHY:

Our team has been responsible for leading the Life+Style SYEP: HUSTLE 101 for @DYRSDC at MLK Achievement Center. Since the end of June, we've introduced youth ages 14 - 17 to opportunities in the hospitality and tourism industry, with direct exposure to the ENTREPRENEURIAL side of things.

TODAY, we wrapped Week 5 with #LunchWithaBoss at @SapodillasDC

THE IDEA MONTHS AGO:
Design an environment for today's youth to meet a professional and have a meaningful conversation.

After all, feedback from employers often is "this generation doesn't know how to communicate."

THE RESULT TODAY:
10 of our FutureFounders not only PARTICIPATED, but they JUMPED into this experience and led conversations with real estate investors & project developers, educators, restaurateur, pet care specialist, and other professionals who share a glance into our teens future.

Much of our team's impact and subsequent growth is directly connected to our founding partners' ability to FIND, APPLY FOR, and MANAGE pandemic funding, bridge funding, DC's IIEIF, workforce contracts, and other documented opportunities.

We had no real playbook.

Just our collective experience in hospitality sales, experiential marketing, bizdev, networking, and negotiation.
