I am absolutely delighted and deeply honored to have been asked by dear @tandimusgrime @takcotak to create the calligraphy place cards for their beautiful wedding!

While my hand might be feeling the “burn” after a few nights of serious writing, my heart is completely full. It is a joy to help set the stage for such a beautiful couple as they begin their life journey together! ❤️

Wishing these two a lifetime of love, laughter, and a truly flawless “happily ever after.” 🍾🥂

Wedding projects are undoubtedly among the most enjoyable calligraphy projects, especially when the couple getting married are closs friends who hold a special place in your heart.

For this particular project, I have decided to incorporate two different color tones for the place cards, taking into consideration the bride’s love for the color dark green. The place cards were created using either white ink on dark green card stock or dark green ink on white card stock.

I feel incredibly honored to have had the opportunity to contribute in a small way to this intimate wedding celebration. As I packed the completed deck of place cards and delicately tied a red string around them, I couldn’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of happiness for this wonderful couple 🥰

Paper: White (300 gsm) / Dark Green (270 gsm) card stock
Ink: Self-mix Dark Green Gouache, Windsor & Newton / Dr PH Martin Bleed Proof White

算起來自學英文書法已經有七、八年的時間
一直就是靜靜地自己學自己寫自已練
開始時練習不算頻密，因為自學的關係進度很慢⋯⋯理解字型，明白歷史，探索各種工具，紙筆墨硯，都用了很多時間
加上工作、生活都很忙，進步實為龜速狀態

近這一、兩年，因為有好寫友，互相鼓勵，開始寫得認真

最認真的時候，晚晚深夜寫字練習，努力鑽研，開始有少少進步

工欲善其事，必須利其器，找到合適的工具後，又再有少少進步

後來亦終於去找老師上堂，真的學到很多之前不知道的技巧和知識，但因為自己太忙，只上了大概四堂，已經不敢再找老師

自問功力未夠，要繼續努力修行

幸運的是身邊有些好朋友好寫友們非常支持我這個小興趣，更有人知道後說我們要找個機會合作😳受寵若驚！

2023完結前，這個IG 終於出世（已拖了不知多久），請大家follow 🙏 @lettering.viv

Always like the flexibility of dotted paper, the dots can serve as a guide when needed, while they are not that visible on the other hand. by @lettering.viv
