POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Hi friends! As a business & research data analyst, I’ve spent the past decade working with databases that contain private customer data, transactions, and all sorts of data that contain personally identifiable information (PII) data. Since data privacy & data governance are important to me, I thought I’d help spread some knowledge and awareness regarding privacy and security— especially as it pertains to personal information such as names and addresses on my calligraphy account. This is probably my first crossover post on here related to my professional training/career and it’s the first of this series which I’m calling security tips. Hope you find these helpful! I’ll also blog about this soon!

Over the last few years following calligraphers, stationers, snail mail enthusiasts, vintage stamp vendors, and other Etsy sellers I’ve come across a fair share of people’s real names and full & partial addresses information in behind-the-scenes stories, posts, reels, and/or tutorials.

Swipe through for 5 reasons as to why we should all try to avoid posting real people’s private information on here or any other social media platform. Please comment below if you agree or disagree. Also feel free to add more reasons you can think of in the comments. Let me know if you have any questions, thank you!

Sharing a little bit about the @uspostalservice barcodes! I keep seeing people share their beautiful mail (which I love) and I’d also love to help keep you all safe online by sharing some information about what USPS mail barcodes contain and what to help hide when posting publicly to help protect yourself from creepy people/machines. Did you learn anything new? Feel free to share in the comments!

Days 20, 21 & 22 of 31 Days of Bewitching Envelopes: Folk art, monsters, and library

I was inspired by the yellow border and the carousel horses from the folk art @uspostalservice stamps in my collection. For monsters: I had to go with my favorite type of Pokemon (short for pocket monsters). My friend Amy @amoink had such a cute envelope for her library post that I also decided to go out washi books for part of this library themed envelope

Day 7 of 31 Days of Bewitching Envelopes:
Dragon

This year for #pokemonday @pokemon released an animated short called “Dragonite and the Special Delivery” which focuses on a Dragonite mail carrier. It includes Pokemon and people working at the post office, Pokemon melting wax for wax seals, and all sorts of cute animations with Pokemon and mail. It’s so cute! It’s 13 minutes long and I loved it.
