This is my friend Zach (@zacharyshunk)

He recently was in a nearly fatal motorcycle accident.
Against incredible odds, he received a life-saving liver transplant and is now beginning the long road to recovery.

Zach loves motorcycles, his people, bone broth, and has maintained a lifelong rivalry with peanuts. He’s the kind of person who makes life feel lighter just by being in it.

We’d all like a lot more of that, so now it’s our turn to carry a little of the weight for him.

If you’re able to donate or simply share his fundraiser, it would mean the world to Zach, his family, and everyone who loves him.

Day 11,396 of being alive.

Life lately has been full of strange little resurrections. Endings. Beginnings. New friendships, new communities, and books that psychologically rearranged me for sport. Late night motorcycle rides with people who make my chest ache in the best possible way.

Somewhere in the middle of it all, my desire to write seems to have crawled back from the dead.
