Thank you @i_d for facilitating my dream assignment aka interviewing people about the things they collect <3

“As the first generation of young people to grow up alongside the internet, collecting objects carries a deeper significance. Given our existential fear of being permanently sucked into the doomscroll (and losing touch with reality altogether), it’s no surprise that we’re clinging to the physical world for dear life.

By devoting ourselves to tangible objects, we’re building personal lore that’s grounded in the IRL rather than the digital—reflecting the most treasured corners of our identities back into the real world.

In doing so, we’re connecting with ourselves, fellow collectors, and with the past—self-soothing our generational loneliness and our nostalgia for simpler, more analog times.”

Thanks to legend @samnicklin for the beautiful images, @_alexkessler and @jacksonbowley for the commission, and to all of the interviewees for agreeing to take part 🍀💌🪽🗝️ taken in Treasure Planet by @letty_etc

In print!!! Thank you v much @10menmagazine @pltnr for featuring @lost.property____ in your Autumn edition alongside some v talented friends and peers 💎🩵💪Honoured to be photographed by the wonderful @lydia_garnett who was very kind to me despite a stunningly bad hair day in which I tried and failed to conceal my entire fringe (thankfully now recovered). But anyway this isn’t about hair it’s about Lost Property and honestly when Paul first emailed me about this back in March I thought lol you’ll be laughing when LP inevitably dies before this goes to print but guess what you guys are still selling us out every edition so thank you thank you everyone xxx the good time or your money back still stands <3 by @letty_etc

Fireflies, kisses, tricks of the light….. I wrote about my habit of meeting magicians on Google Maps, and what they’ve taught me about the nature of illusion. Thank you @adultsentertained for having me to read this piece last Friday, you can read it in full here <3 by @letty_etc

on Saturday I went to Alfies Antiques, saw friends and a massive model shark, learnt about Pearly Kings and Queens and the old drag clubs of Soho, gave a reading about not being gay enough or straight enough, met a dog called Pork Chop, thought about time and London and whether things change or not and figured they kind of do all on different timelines, then wrote an essay about it all which you can read on my Substack link in bio :)

thank you to @sofia_hallstrom_ and @billymparker and @bolding__ and @alfiesantiques for having me at @sally_therapist beautiful exhibition <3 by @letty_etc

@lost.property____ founder @letty_etc after her editor’s note THE SPACE BETWEEN ~for Lost Property x Miista: The Silence That Speaks

This was Lost Property’s first ever themed edition!(usually we let the miscellaneous chaos ensue, but an edition dedicated to language in all its forms felt worthy of exception) We spoke about yapper’s regret, Gucci Mane, cybernetics, suspense, girlhood, movement, language as ancient technology, Eric Rhomer, The Little Mermaid, the politics of women’s voices and much more… left dreaming about space, language and meaning. Thank you as always to our brilliant speakers, our ever-inquisitive audience, and to @miista 🤍 for having us ~~~~~~🗝️🗝️🗝️🗝️🗝️🗝️🗝️

I <3 slides. These are some favourite slides from May 25 - May 26, no particular order. In my opinion, slides are both seriously over-used and seriously under-respected. The power of a blank slide knows no bounds, if you know how to wrangle it. I’ve presented many slides while hosting @lost.property____ over the past year, and found my dedication to Times New Roman (font supremacy) in various block colours an exercise in conviction of thought and brevity of expression like no other. Long live slides 🛝 these are completely out of context but maybe they’ll take on new life of their own taken in Slides by @letty_etc
