Unc0l0nized Soul; 🪽 The Ruh الروح
We are the continuation of our entire ancestral lineage.
The shapers and weavers of new paradigms.
This half portrait holds the threshold between “nafs and rūḥ” — the Physical Self / Identity, and the Soul — the human self shaped by history and ancestry and the divine breath that remains sovereign and free.
One half appears in form; the other is unseen, uncolonized, and continuous.

- in this video I am varnishing the oil painting with a gloss for permanent protection and preserving the paint from yellowing.

Update: this painting raised $6000 in donations to Fajr Scientific for G’azza. Alhamdulliah 🙏

It’s been an absolute honor to paint the Earth Angel Dr. Tahir 🙏. For the last 30 days I have been painting some days حتى مطلع الفجر “ till dawn” to make it ready for the Fajr Gala! Dr. Tahir is one of the most powerful inspiring people. Through his eyes he showed us reality on the ground in Ghazzeh on his medical mission and showed us so much faith and resilience.
.
Oil on Canvas, portrait of Dr. Tahir @nervesurgeon, created for @fajrscientificus Gala in Washington DC, Feb 15.

I am grateful how this all aligned by the grace of God. I was following Dr. Tahir early on in his journey and amazed by his devotion, care, empathy, faith and resilience and much more. God has his ways of aligning us with people, I met the INCREDIBLE Dr. Nasser @drmosabnasser CEO and co-founder of Fajr in person, and asked me to paint this portrait for the Gala. I am grateful to be volunteering with the team and donating this painting. 🥰🙏 by @levantinian

Giclee Fine Art Archival Prints of Orange Blossom are now available online! Comes with a certificate of Authenticity.

Available only until Sept 24th - because I’m traveling after for a month & I ship those out myself.

Printed on one of the finest paper qualities I could find: Hahnemühle Photo Rag Paper, Archival, 💯 cotton, acid free. (It lasts a long time & shows the colors & brushstrokes well!).

12x24 inches. I made it to fit standard frames that you can find easily.

One of the things that make waking up at 6:00am for my booths or driving to DC easier is the people I meet at these events! We share laughter, conversation, depth and connection. Many of you have become part of my friend circle over the years and ones I celebrate occasions with 🥹🙏 you all gave me a sense of home and community here in the diaspora when I knew NOBODY.

Yesterday I did 2 booths in 1 day, my day started at 6:00am at the farmer’s market and ended at night with an amazing event @palestinehouseoffreedom . And this morning i’m just thinking about the soulful connections I made yesterday and the funny & deep conversations we had ❤️ you all made my day joyful. I’m so grateful.

Some of you yesterday shared thoughtful words with me that i’m keeping close to my heart. And you gave me a reminder that i’m here because my past self started this in 2018. She showed up. And i’m so grateful I didn’t give up.
