Our current install tech and cad designer is headed on to the next step in his career. We are ecstatic for him but sad to see him go. All that said, we are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented Automotive Installation Technician to join our shop team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, diagnosing, and upgrading aftermarket automotive components—with a heavy emphasis on aftermarket suspension systems, lift kits, steering/driveline upgrades, and custom vehicle accessories.If you take pride in high-quality craftsmanship, clean installs, and precision mechanical work, we want to talk to you.Key Responsibilities⚡ Suspension & Driveline: Install, align, and tune aftermarket lift kits, leveling kits, performance shocks, control arms, leaf springs, and related components.⚡ Accessory Installation: Mount and wire aftermarket accessories (e.g., winches, bumpers, lighting, racks, onboard air, and electrical systems).⚡ Inspection & Diagnosis: Perform thorough pre- and post-install vehicle inspections to ensure fitment, clearance, and proper torque spec adherence.⚡ Troubleshooting: Diagnose noises, alignment issues, or installation clearance conflicts and resolve them efficiently.⚡ Quality Assurance: Test-drive vehicles to verify proper functionality, ride quality, and safety prior to customer delivery.⚡ Shop Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, ensuring shop tools and equipment are properly maintained.Qualifications & Requirements⚡ Experience: 2+ years of professional automotive repair or aftermarket installation experience (suspension/truck focus preferred).⚡ Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of steering, suspension geometry, 4WD systems, and automotive electrical wiring.⚡ Tools: Shop tools are provided on site.⚡ Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 70 lbs, work on your feet for extended periods, and perform heavy mechanical tasks daily.⚡ License: Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (required for customer vehicle test drives).⚡ Work Ethic: Strong attention to detail, reliability, and pride in clean, safe workmanship. by @levelupsuspension
