🐍 20 students. 6 weeks. Here is a throughback to our Python Summer Practice. We asked a few participants what they expected and what they found.

The expectation: a Python course. Consolidate the basics, learn the language, see what a professional environment looks like.

The reality: web development, databases, APIs, web scraping, industry standards, deployment, and how a real team works day to day.

The toughest part? Backend and new libraries, concepts most of them had never met at university. Well-structured courses, hands-on exercises, and mentors who answered every question turned the challenge into progress.

Vibe coding feels brilliant at 2 AM. Three months later, nobody can explain the codebase. 💡

It is Cyber Security Month and Secure9 week at Levi9.

We had our 5-day strike of sessions, two of them broadcast straight from our Iasi office.

This year, our security approach was “It Looks Until It’s Not”. A big thank you to our speakers for sharing their experience when it happened to see hidden risks, especially with AI:

🤖 Agentic AI in the SDLC: New Attack Surface, Same Old Mistakes, with Codrin Baleanu. He walked us through the common security mistakes teams make when adopting AI.

⚡ Blink, and you’re scanned, with Iustin Achitenei and Valentin Gavriliu, together with our customer, for a joint session. They showed how bots hunt for exposed endpoints, launch credential stuffing and injection attacks, and how a WAF stops them at the edge.

A challenge that brought us together — and turned our effort into impact.

What happens when colleagues across four countries decide to move toward one shared goal?

At Levi9, we found out through BeSTRONG Challenge 2026.

Over five weeks, 150 colleagues across our Delivery Centers in Ukraine, Romania, Serbia and the Netherlands walked, ran and cycled their way toward a collective target of 23,860 km.

We finished at 24,101 km — reaching our final charity milestone and unlocking €10,000 for local causes.

And now we know where that impact is going:

🇺🇦 Ukraine — Superhumans Center
Our donation will support Superhumans’ work helping Ukrainians affected by war through prosthetics, reconstructive surgery, rehabilitation and other forms of physical recovery.

🇷🇴 Romania — World Vision România: Back to School 2026
The donation will help children from vulnerable rural communities start the school year with fully equipped backpacks, while supporting World Vision’s broader education programs across Romania.

🇷🇸 Serbia — NURDOR
Serbian participants chose NURDOR, the National Association of Parents of Children with Cancer. The initial €2,500 donation was doubled to €5,000 through Movement, a post-challenge event in Novi Sad and Belgrade that brought together 100+ colleagues. The donation will support the purchase of a specialized surgical device for the Pediatric Neurosurgery Department of the University Clinical Centre of Serbia.

🇳🇱 The Netherlands — FutureWhiz
FutureWhiz, the company behind Squla and StudyGo, helps children from low-income families access online tutoring and educational support, giving them additional opportunities to keep up with their education.

24,101 km later, the challenge is over. The impact is just getting started.

Thank you to everyone who walked, ran, cycled, cheered, encouraged and took part.

Yesterday we had our global All Hands meeting, streamed directly from our Levi9 Iași office.

All 4 countries aligned: the Netherlands, Romania, Serbia, and Ukraine. 🇳🇱🇷🇴🇷🇸🇺🇦

Recognizing the efforts, sharing the success, aiming for new goals, even with a glimpse into 2027. We thank the board for keeping clarity on our vision and transparency on our execution.

We’re happy to be back at the Faculty of Computer Science in Iași @fii.uaic , welcoming students at the start of the university year.

It is always a pleasure to hear students’ expectations, discuss their future, and get inspired by their enthusiasm. Every question, every idea, and every plan for the years ahead reminds us why we love being part of this community.

Cyber-attack. 100 hospitals offline. One afternoon.

Secure9 is coming... so yesterday we hosted our Secure9 Lunch & Learn with DNSC (National Cyber Security Directorate) experts, digging into what really happens behind a large-scale ransomware attack.

The story hit different once you realize: Supply Chain Security and Ransomware are one weak link away.

Last week we brought The Decision Game to the office, and it was intense!

For 4 hours, our colleagues turned into strategists: fast decisions, limited resources, the clock ticking.

A big thank you to Andrei Postolache, the creator of the game, for guiding teams through round after round of challenges, choices to collaborate (or not 😏), and real lessons in strategic thinking under uncertainty.

BeSTRONG Challenge – Romania showed up! 💪

5 weeks and a global goal of 24,285 km. Our team of 35 levi niners scored and contributed with 5950km:

🚶 Walking: 3,018 km
🏃 Running: 1,579 km
🚴 Cycling: 1,353 km

Huge thanks to all of them who got out there walking, running, or cycling week after week. It felt like true Levi9 spirit in motion.

And the best part: we hit the global goal, which means we’ve unlocked the final charity milestone: a generous donation for local charities across our participating countries.

24,285 km later, we made it.

🏁 BeSTRONG Challenge is coming to an end!
Five weeks. One shared goal. Hundreds of Levi Niners counting kilometres walked, run, and cycled.

And along the way, we grabbed some extra motivation: a Lunch & Learn session with professional runner Ioana Cătălina Mihaly, talking about training, mindset, and how to push limits the smart way. Her personal bests? A 3:27:00 marathon among them!
