Feels like an indie film, or an old school drama. Maybe an A24 look, but that might be a reach. I'd be honored though.

When it's so hot that Peter Parker takes a day off...

Vibe check- Canon Event

It's been a while since I've posted. Can't post updates on projects just yet.

Info on this look👇🏾

Look achieved by color space transform from VLog to Davinci Wide Gamut, then from Davinci Wide Gamut to Cineon, with a Kodak 2383 LUT. The rest of the adjustments are a bit much to explain, but I shot at ISO 640 to retain dynamic range to have plenty of play in post in separate nodes for HDR wheels and s curve. Try referring to one of your favorite movie scenes for comparison.

Stay cool in this heat

It was a good day.

It's all a trust thing. Trusting the process, trusting your people, trusting your team. Another day on set with an A1 team. Determination in these stills. This isn't everyone, btw.

All I can tell you is...

Know your lane... ride with common sense...

Pun intended. I'm just driven by the weather and @common blessing another mic as usual.

•Lumix S5
•ISO 320
•ND 64
•V-Log
•10bit
•4K
•50mm prime lens at f/1.7
•Color correction, color space transform, a little halation, and glow in @davinciresolvestudios

These shots need more work for a professional look, but these are experimental. I also got them at 20mm and they look way better. Definitely need to save those for another edit that I'll finish when I'm done sending deliverables out.

Stop overthinking...

Always remember that taking care of yourself is the key to success, no matter how much pressure you may feel. Just like no one can do the work for you, no one can give your youth back.

Do what you do, and get some rest. Nothing's wrong, stop overthinking.

Keep building reality together

Stills from Saturday at Gabriele's Bar & Grill for The Winter Laugh Blast. Thank you to Larry Ice Thompson and T.K.O. Unlimited Ent for having me. I remember watching Joe Clair on @bet and I'm not surprised that he had me wheezing. Drew Fraser was dropping absolute gems on the stage. If I see these guys again I'll need a nebulizer or an inhaler. Maybe some oxygen.

Until next time...

We're looking for hosts!! If that's you, send a DM, and let's talk.

So many names I need to tag here because I love y'all. Man, this song hit me so hard in 2022 when I heard it in LA while I was struggling harder than I did before. It got me through a whole lot as I learned more about my passion for directing. This year is starting on an amazing level for goals, and of course, there's a new struggle that's bigger than previous years. And boom, here comes @fivioforeign_8fs with this track to give me some hope again.

"If all fails, at least we have each other
If all fails, at least we live another, yeah
And if all fails, at least we don’t gotta struggle
No more, no more, yeah
If all fails, at least I got my brothers, yeah
It won’t all fail, ‘cause I’ll see another
If things go left, God gon’ redirect
This my life, I'M GON DIRECT IT"

Let's keep doing exactly what we say we will. What do you think I'd say next?

Keep building reality together

I always carry my camera with me for several reasons, and every time I sit with this man, he checks off multiple boxes. He is a living and breathing piece of American history, and talking to him allows me to capture sentimental moments, endearing cinematic moments, and rare national history in one sitting. I’m grateful for the things he teaches me.

Fun fact- my daughter took the 1st picture
