OFF SCRIPT

I've recently become a huge fan of this animator named @off_script_store . Their character designs are so sick that I decided to draw them to get back into sketching and such. Can maybe draw more soon eventually maybe?

Splatana!

With the recent Splatoon 3 news drop, they revealed a new weapon: the Splatana! Didn't really draw it correctly here, but it looks like a pretty sick sword. I'm really happy with how the colors turned out in this one, so I decided not to tamper with the image too much to make the shadows less noticable. This is definitely one of my biggest drawings with alcohol markers, so it was pretty different for me.

Sportsmate Gal

This drawing is very directly based on a character in Nintendo's new Switch Sports game. I would post what the original character looked like, but Instagram doesn't handle multiple images well. Feel free to look at my Facebook post if you're interested. Really happy with how this turned out, it's just pretty messy from the extremely indecisive sketch.

The Newest Beginnings - Alcohol Markers

For anyone not in the loop, the newest Pokemon games were recently announced! I really like their selection for the new starting trio so I decided to draw them. Their names are Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly respectively. Sprigatito is my favorite, as you may be able to tell by the sketch marks. Happy with how these turned out, but I gotta figure out a better way to scan these drawings.

Diving Axolotl - Alcohol Markers

Recently got some alcohol markers and had to draw something ASAP. This whole drawing was loosely based on the lush caves from Minecraft's latest update. Really happy with how this turned out!

Piranha Plant! - Watercolor

It's been over a year since I did watercolor, and I'm surprised by how well this went! I've been playing a lot of Smash Bros and Mario Party lately so I've really wanted to create something for this glorious plant. I also didn't end up having to blend any colors to make this piece. Instead, I used a lot of layering on this one.

Sittin Cat - Animals

So, I think I could have made this cat more realism based but I have only ever used the Procreate program for cartoons so I'm going to start working on a setup to get realistic looking drawings. However, I do still think the cat turned out well! If you're wondering that the breed of the cat is, you're asking the wrong guy.

CEO of Coolness - Difficult Colors

Being completely honest, I kinda ran out of art topics. However, I do think this one was challenging! I barely use yellow and purple together despite them being complementary to each other. I also thought this color combo was kind of retro, so I tried to incorporate that into the design with baggy pants and a puffy coat. I focused much more on the line work of this one and I think it paid off.

Emerald Swamps - Pixel Art

I have never done pixel art before, so I have no idea what I'm doing! I think this turned out pretty good but tips are definitely appreciated. The color scheme for this one turned out pretty well in my opinion, and I think it ended up more blue than green.

Systems Failed - Shading

I had a lot of fun making this one! To be honest, shading was a bit of an afterthought when creating this robot alien gun.. thing. This whole thing was definitely inspired by Destiny 2 since I've been playing that a lot. I ended up really liking the background since I think it depicted a battle pretty well.

Miitopia! - Color Theory

Since I haven't done digital art in way too long, I've decided to cover a different topic each day of this week in the digital medium. Today's topic is color theory, so I've used a palette of 5 colors for this main character. I also tried out a new brush and a more unique perspective, so this was one big experiment! Also, this art is about the upcoming Nintendo game Miitopia.
