Laroye ❤️‍🔥.

Exu is always present, everywhere. Today, I come representing this Orisha of communication, connection, movement, and the opening of paths. I carry this energy with me for everyone walking across this red carpet — bringing strength, connection, new opportunities, and open roads. May Exu open the paths of everyone who has been here and everyone who is yet to come. Laroye❤️‍🔥

Tentaram esconder Exu atrás do medo.

.
The Christian religion was used for centuries as an instrument of colonization, slavery and silencing of my people. Our gods were demonized. Our rituals were pursued. Our faith was called sin.

And Exu was one of those who tried to turn into a demon the most.

But look at the irony.

They tried to shut up Exu - and ended up giving the world a name that today echoes further and further away.

Exu is movement. It’s communication. It’s the way. It is the one who opens and closes the passages, who establishes communication and transits between plans.

They tried to pull our voice out.

We turn silence into language.

They tried to hide Exu behind fear.

We put Exu at the center of our voice.

And today, what they once wanted to erase crosses borders, breaks prejudices and reaches the world with force.

So, if you wondered why Exu is here on a topic about Catholicism, this is the answer 🇬🇧🇺🇸
