On today's episode of GAHHHUUHHHAAAAAAAHHHDAAAYYYUUUMMM:

I had to retype this to shorten in.

Service industry Vets, have a seat and enjoy this one.

Short version:
Today's agenda: Brunch service, lunch service/prep for a wedding party buy-out, dinner service during wedding party.
Halfway through brunch, the power goes out.
Stays out until five, when the guests arrive.
Spent all afternoon prepping in darkness.
Power comes back on, and now the main walk-in's fans are not coming back on.
While serving the entire wedding, just my head chef and I, the walk-in never comes back on.
Multiple trips crawling over burning hot pipes under the building to trigger the compressor and nothing.
We had to empty out two walk-ins, fill in two other walk-ins and six fridges, and pullout and stock the prep areas with everything that could stay out. Guests are still eating.
Back and ribcage have gone out multiple times.
Everyone but me leaves.
The entire line is still dirty from brunch.
Prep list still needs to get written (with zero room to view in any walk-in). All of my closing duties still left.
And we're back open for brunch in a handful of hours.
I left SO MUCH out just to fit this caption.
