Over the past several months we’ve enjoyed working with Levi Hawken as he envisioned, designed and laboured to create a stunning and unique family memorial for the Hawken family.

The cross is an homage to his grandparents’ Catholic background and incorporates many elements of Levi’s artistic philosophy and spiritual sensibility.

Kingsland’s Nixon Park has been upgraded thanks to the Albert-Eden Local Board ❤️🛹

The Hawken Monument🪦

This monument is the amalgamation of many things dear to Levi, his family, and his art. From the cross, the mayan influences, and the black sand base. These elements, and more, tell a unique story.

Purewa is a place where legacy lives, where people and their stories are remembered. We are honoured to have been a part of Levi's journey in creating a lasting legacy for his family.

Levi is a Legend in so many ways.

We first met through Skateboarding at a nationals in Paraparaumu Beach back when we were both teenagers,
One of the best skateboarders from NZ ever!, Can bomb hills we only dream of at speeds cars struggle at.

Any time I ran into Levi it was a cool conversation about life, dogs and skateboarding.

He’s a rare Human for a lot of reasons,he’s become famous for many different times,but always remained humble and grounded.

He’s an Artist, creating brutalist sculptures that are both mind blowing and surreal,

He’s always been a fit looking guy, I remember when most of us were rocking spare tires he had abs of steel.

Much respect to this man,
He really is a strong character,a battler and a true gentleman.
