We missed being together ~ learning, exchanging, goofing around, and experiencing nature, unity, and expression together 🤍

We hope you had a nourishing summer ~ upside down, dropping, spinning, hanging, exploring ~ all with safe hands and crash mats beneath you 🙃🎪

We can’t wait to gather again, reconnect, share, play, and keep growing together.

Until our next meet-up 💫

LEVITATE COLLABORATIONS ✦

@ju.dz taking flight to the beautiful live sounds of @policevoleur

A meeting of movement and music, performed live on the Levitate stage. 💜

The camera may be centered on the aerial performance, but this creation was carried by both ~ music and movement in conversation.

And @andvkh on didgeridoo for the intro of “TEER” ~ an in-the-moment invitation that turned into part of the performance ✦

More collaborations from the Levitate archives to come.

What we witnessed that night last year, having all the artists jam together, was a moment we will never forget.

The connection, the openness, the care free energy and playfulness of everybody was the highlight of that weekend for us ✨️

We will soon share more magic and moments together that will forever live within us.

With circus love
🤍🎪

@ralph_salameh isn't a circus artist, but without him, the first Levitate might never have happened.

After being introduced through our friend @fouad.tueni , @ju.dz shared the idea for Levitate with Ralph. At the time, she had just one month to make it happen while attending an intensive aerial training in Valencia.

Unsure of herself, she asked him, "Am I crazy? Maybe I should listen to everyone and let this go."

His answer?

"No. Do it. You have my support."

He offered his land to host the very first Levitate in 2022. Together with friends and community members, that space was transformed into a festival site in very little time.

Levitate has always been about more than circus. It's about people who choose to believe in ideas, in artists, and in each other.

This is what we mean when we say community.
This series is our way of celebrating it.

And there's no better place to start than with Ralph.

✨ Open Stage Spotlight ~ @myriam.yazbeck

Some moments deserve to be celebrated.

This was Myriam's very first performance ever, and we're so grateful she chose to take that leap on the Levitate Open Stage 🌿

The Open Stage exists to give artists a space to explore, grow, and share their work ~ whether it's their hundredth performance or their very first.

Give Myriam some love in the comments, and if you enjoyed watching her journey begin, make sure to follow and support her 🤍

Every artist starts somewhere.

These conversations aren't an extra.

They're an essential part of Levitate.

Building a healthier circus ecosystem takes more than training. It takes listening, exchanging ideas, asking difficult questions, voicing concerns, and imagining the future we want to create.

That's why we intentionally create spaces for these conversations.

And we don't want them to happen only once a year.

💭 What's one challenge you're facing as a circus artist right now?

Leave a comment, send us a DM, or fill out the community survey (link in bio). We'd love to hear your thoughts, ideas, and needs.

A festival may be on pause, but a platform never stops growing.

We're already working on new ways to keep our community connected, learning, creating, and exchanging together.

Stay close. The next chapter begins soon 💜🎪

Looking back at these photos, my heart is filled with both joy and sorrow. Joy for the beauty of what we create, and sorrow for all that we continue to lose.

🥀

My heart remains with Lebanon, Beirut, our people, and our land.

Always.

Believing in the potential of what can be, while grieving what has been lost.

Until we meet again.

🖤

Thank you @metroalmadina for capturing these moments from my act in collaboration with @joozoormusic at @levitate.leb fundraiser.
