I’m somehow getting worse at taking photos of all the nice moments I want to remember, so you’ll just have to believe me that this is only a small representation of my summer 2026 highlights: lots of berry-picking, meeting and hosting friends and family, vegan afternoon tea on an old train, painting many many walls in our new home (and Sam’s outfit accidentally matching the paint), showing my sister around Cambridge, lining up toys.

Not pictured, but present: the feeling that I’m directing my life onto the lane I want to be on, slowly finding my way back to music, fighting the urge to feel hopeless about the state of the world, acute awareness of time passing no matter what I do. Most days, I feel quite lucky. by @levymusicc

Spent a week hiking the West Highland Way and had a beautiful time. Full disclosure, most of the photos are from the last two days of the hike as they were preceded by four days of near constant rain and were therefore not quite as picturesque. Also, genuinely every person we met was so lovely that I nearly forgot how much my legs were aching by the end. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 by @levymusicc

Roughly seven weeks late with posting, but I went to Ireland on my own for a few days back in August. Visited multiple castles, walked a lot, met lovely people, got caught in the rain approximately 23 separate times and had a pretty delightful time. 🇮🇪 by @levymusicc

Some nice things from the last few weeks: hiking in Madeira, watching Sam and friends graduate, punting, eating raspberries from the garden, seeing my siblings, and cuddling the sweetest dog (sorry to all other dogs) by @levymusicc

Thirty, flirty and thriving, if you can believe it. Though the actual birthday was more like thirty, snotty and Covid-positive ✨Twas quite gross and uncomfortable! by @levymusicc

Tour du Mont Blanc was pretty fantastic! 174km, three countries, some new friends and what felt like 100 granola bars. by @levymusicc

The final part of my most recent newsletter series came out two weeks ago. Have you read it yet? It features this photo of me, playing in a cardboard box before packing up an entire flat in December 2020. Is it connected the content of the newsletter? Who knows.

This week’s newsletter is about (gasp) music! As a treat, I wanted to share a glimpse of my musical origins that laid the foundation for my now-perfect skills. Featuring my sister who’s always been cooler and better than me.

In this week’s newsletter, I wrote about the importance of having and nurturing our hobbies, aka things we enjoy doing without a financial reward. The pandemic forced me to reanimate some of my hobbies I’d forgotten about. At the forefront: baking. So when I felt a bit unbalanced last week, that’s what I did. And it felt nice.

It’s too hot to do anything, so you might as well read the latest instalment of my newsletter about why we might find comfort in watching familiar TV.
Bonus points to anyone who knows what this screenshot is from!

Week 1 of Band-Aids is officially out, and we’re talking about comfort food. To ease us into the topic, I’ve (sort of) aesthetically compiled a few of the meals that have brought me comfort this past week. (Soundtrack: @filipenevesbass!)
