Bringing all my worlds together and sharing more about the family I grew up in.

I grew up in a surfing family in Rhode Island who have been local legends since surfing first came to the East Coast. My dad makes handcrafted surfboards in his backyard and owned a surf shop for 30 years with the also legendary Peter Pan.

A huge part of my healing journey has been getting back in the water and returning to my roots. Sending love to my dad on his 75th birthday and honoring the craft that he has mastered.

He has brought so much fun, joy, adventure, and a connection with the ocean to thousands and thousands of people over the years, and we are honored to continue his legacy.

A special shout out to my cousin Caitlin Allen for spending countless hours hand-painting my vision onto this surfboard. We have affectionately dubbed this the "Lover" surfboard, inspired by Taylor Swift's album cover.

I was deep in an ayahuasca ceremony in Costa Rica a few years ago when my healed and well ancestors showed me a vision:

They were the ones giving us the money from the spirit world to buy the house across the street from my dad, legendary surfboard shaper David Levy of @levysurfdesigns.

At the time, even entertaining the idea of buying a house felt like a pipe dream. My husband and I were actively calling in our dream home, but the post-pandemic housing market in Narragansett, Rhode Island didn’t make it feel realistic. What felt more realistic than a beach house was a multi-family in the city.

Then my guides told me to write a letter to my neighbor who was retired and thinking about downsizing. He is a lovely man who had owned the house across the street my entire life, someone I had never exchanged more than pleasantries with in my adult life. Word on the street was that four people were already in line to buy it. I channeled a handwritten note and walked it down to his driveway.

The full story is going in the spiritual business book I’m writing.

The short version: with the help of human friends who feel like family, my husband landing a dream job, both of our families, countless hours of prayer and offerings, and a few more trips to his driveway, we moved in Christmas of 2024.

I am the third generation of my family to live on this street. The same ancestors who handed me this vision from the spirit world get to watch me live in it now.

…But we all know the real reason I needed to come home…

So I could put my dad to work building me the outdoor shower of my dreams. Thanks Dad!

Meet David Levy, Surfboard Shaper, Master Craftsman, and Local Surf Legend.

David Levy has been shaping surfboards longer than most surf brands have existed.

He started surfing New England in 1962 and shaping boards in 1970. More than five decades later, David is still at it in Narragansett, Rhode Island: building custom surfboards for the waves he knows intimately and repairing the boards local surfers refuse to give up.

Over the years, David has shaped thousands of surfboards.

Boards that have carried generations of surfers into some of the best days of their lives.

First waves. Winter swells. Hurricane surf. Family vacations. The board someone saved up for. They gifted for Christmas to a loved one.
