When life gets hard, find something to make you laugh as sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest difference.

When I was in intensive care, Mum stayed in a room provided by Ronald McDonald House. Today, we’re wearing the silly hats, sharing a smile and giving a little back to a charity that helped our family.

Having somewhere to call home should be one of the basic things in life, but it’s something Mum and Me are really struggling with at the moment. We sadly had to move out of our house so we rented an accommodation when we got there. This is what it looked like. For the past week We’ve been living in a hotel while my hospital equipment was stuck at the house. They have changed the carpets now, but there is still a smell and today we found the tooth and the bucket of smelly stuff every day there is something. What we hoped would be a safe place while we picked our ourselves back up has turned into a nightmare. We are trying to raise some money so we can move into a forever home go fund me link in bio. Tonight is our first night sleeping at the house and we are struggling I never thought I would ever be in this situation, but I guess no one does. From Lewis. #moving #gofundme by @lew_hine

I can’t believe I am 21 today. Thanks to everyone who helped me along the way. Here’s to many more birthdays!
