Hyphe inside Hypha
The work was created in 2023 through a deep exploration of cashmere yarn – a material known for its sensual softness and, at the same time, its resilience. In working with it, the materiality of the yarn itself came to the forefront: how it lays, how it interlocks, entangles, and merges.

As the process unfolded, structures emerged that resemble the growth patterns of fungal networks – known as hyphae. These sprawling connections symbolize a system in which everything communicates with everything else. The artwork reveals an organic network in which microcosm and macrocosm merge.

Thought behind the work:

Hyphe inside Hypha means: the small appears in the large, and the large in the small. The fungal hyphae serve as a metaphor for a deeper truth – that everything is interconnected: biologically, spiritually, and energetically.
Thus, the work becomes a symbol of the interwoven nature of all things – of communication beyond language and of the principle of correspondence (“As above, so below”). by @lewein
