A promise I made and a promise I kept to you Pops🖤 Yesterday will never make up for the obvious but what it did do was exercised some demons I’ve carried with me for so long. Maybe it was all worth it Pops, the trips back and forth up and down that motorway 4 times a week, when you’d grafted all day, when you didn’t really have the fuel money to put in the van. The endless amount of time you put into me just to give me a chance, just a chance to realise my dream of playing in the premier league. It absolutely kills me you’re not around to witness or see me walk out with my little boy as captain of my hometown club, who by the way is now the closest thing I have to you. He’s a mini version of you Pops and I see you in him every single day. I guess just thank you.. thank you for being one of the only people truly deep down to believe in me and more than I did myself at times. Thank you for making me the way you did, I wouldn’t change a single thing and the way you made me. You’re the best person I ever did know and ever will know. We did it Pops. Mission accomplished.. I just really hope somehow you see from a far. “Don’t you ever lose sight of what you promised me” I can just hear exactly what you’d be saying right now. Forever in your debt. I love you Pops 💚 by @lewie_coyle

This morning I had the pleasure of sitting down with the legendary Hull City AFC captain, Lewie Coyle! 🐯⚽️

We had an awesome chat, talking football, leadership and life both on and off the pitch. What a top guy and a brilliant conversation! 🙌

Thanks for your time, Lewie — absolutely loved it! 🧡🖤

What an incredible turnout to the launch day for the new Friday night sessions at Haltenprice. I will never ever tire of seeing the next generation of children, the children of my city participating in sport and having a huge smile on their face while doing so. Sport has the power to unite people from all different walks of life and have such a positive impact on these children’s lives. It’s something that will always hold a special place in my heart, and something I will continue to do so with such a passion.

Massive thank you to the team that makes it all possible, too many to thank but you know who you are.

The city of hull is a special place filled with amazing people and it’s an honour to be able to do my bit to give back to this wonderful place.

LCFA continues to grow and will always be based around the morals and principles instilled in me from my old man🙏🏼🧡 taken in Haltemprice Leisure Centre by @lewie_coyle
