Happy gotcha day to my main man Jefferson (from da streets, don’t cha know) the Jentleman! I found him as a tiny, 10-week old puppy on the Day of the Dead the morning after a Halloween night storm. He was flea ridden and cold. After waiting some time and looking around for an owner, I stuffed him in my shirt and took him home to bathe off the fleas and warm him up. He immediately started to snooze in the carrier as I took him to the vet to look for a chip and get him checked out procure some flea meds.

Upon investigation, the vet said, “you should keep this dog, he’s going to be a really really good dog.”
“Well, I already have a dog, (sweet Salli) and we’re gonn look for his owner.”
“You’re not gonna find his owner and he’s gonna be a great dog. You should keep him.”

Within a very short time, it became obviously apparent that young Jef was going to be completely inseparable from our family.

And thus has ever been. He’s the most kind, gentle, sweet and good-natured fellow as I’ve ever met (of ANY species), and has proven to be as smart and trustworthy as any friend I’ve ever had.

Im the luckiest guy! Thanks for coming over, Jef! Xoxoxo by @lewilawnmower

The weather turns to rain, but Jef still remains. More snuggle time in bed until spring!

❤️‍🔥 ONE MONTH UNTIL GRAM JAM
Pickathon Presents Gram Jam VI: A Tribute to Gram Parsons to benefit the Jeremy Wilson Foundation on November 7 at The Showdown Saloon.

With Gram Parsons’ birthday on November 5 and his upcoming induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, this year’s Gram Jam feels especially worth celebrating.

For the sixth time, Shorty & The Mustangs bring together an all-star lineup of Portland musicians to honor Parsons’ “Cosmic American Music” and the country, rock, blues, and soul that shaped it. Expect an unforgettable night of songs from across Parsons’ catalog and plenty of familiar local faces sitting in with the band.

Even better, this is all for a great cause. A portion of proceeds benefits the Jeremy Wilson Foundation, which supports musicians and music industry professionals facing health challenges.
