Today marks three years without you. Somehow, it feels like yesterday and a lifetime ago all at once. Yet through every passing day, I still find myself wishing I could hear your voice, ask for your advice, or have just one more conversation with you.

I would have given anything to have you beside me on my wedding day. Although you couldn’t be there physically, I know you were there in every way that mattered. I felt your love and your presence surrounding me throughout the entire day, and in my heart, I know you were still right there beside me, walking with me through one of the most important moments of my life.

I just don’t know what to say. I’m devastated by your loss. Words alone could never truly capture the force that you were. You didn’t just light up a room, you set it on fire. You were so unapologetically yourself in everything you did, with a heart that was as rare as it was pure.

You were more than my friend, you were my sister. We grew up together. In so many ways, we helped raise each other. We stood beside one another through every heartbreak, every high and low, every victory and every setback. We laughed until we cried, cried until we laughed again, and somehow always found our way back to each other.

Thirty-one years of friendship, love, trust, support, and unwavering loyalty is something so special, so rare. Once in a lifetime.
