It was humbling to give a talk and studio tour to directors, staff and some young students at the Rothko Museum in Daugavpils. I think I’ve unearthed some musical prodigies.

Making music with Mark

…I’ve been composing visual and auditory works in close proximity to some timeless Rothko masterpieces.

Also realising I’ve been making marks with my music too.

It’s been such an honour to make work in dialogue with my Birthday brother Mark Rothko under the banner of a brilliant institution.

The Rothko Residency has helped me take the work to new heights and strike new chords with my surroundings.

Thanks @rothkomuseum , @caitlinheffernanstudio 💜

I’ve always found the notion of “Visual Art” deeply problematic - my work has never existed in a purely retinal context. I’ve always listened to my paintings, their vibrations and resonance.

I’ve always touched and smelt them too.

Thanks @ucafarnhamart for having me.

I loved your passion, ambition and incredible work. It was great seeing @katestreetstudio in full pedagogical flow.
