Being the 2023 Narcissus Queen has been the experience of a lifetime.

Every single moment was fulfilling, memorable, and incredibly fun. I am so grateful for the many opportunities that were given to me and my court to represent our Hawaii Chinese community and continue to spread our local Chinese culture and traditions. I absolutely loved meeting and connecting with new people at every event and forming meaningful bonds with everyone, being welcomed into this big, warm family for years and years to come.

Although my reign as the Narcissus Queen has officially been passed on, everything I have learned and experienced continues on into the next chapter.

Thank you to my parents. Thank you to my court. Thank you to the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii. Thank you to everyone who I have encountered during this journey and shaped me into the woman I am today. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! by @lexiho_808

11.7.23-11.21.23 - Narcissus Queen Tour to China!

Two months later and I still cannot believe I did THAT!!

We travelled to seven different cities and were graciously hosted by local government officials to huge meals almost every single day, as well as welcomed by lots of local media at various cities. I saw my Gung Gung’s childhood home and visited my ancestral temple in Cixi. I learned how to change into a cheongsam in a bus and how to hike up a mountain in heels. I met old friends, made new friends, and had my family beside me the entire time.

…All while having the absolute time of my life!!!!!

So grateful to have had this crazy, fun, truly once-in-a lifetime opportunity.

Tomorrow night I’ll be wrapping up my year and crowning your new 2024 Narcissus Queen at Hawaii Theater. See you there~ ☺️ by @lexiho_808
