It’s time Drizzy Drake gets his official introduction.

Drizzy survived things no dog ever should. He came from abuse and neglect and then spent six long months in a shelter, sleeping on concrete, surrounded by noise and stress, just waiting to be chosen. He carries trauma and triggers from that life, and some days are still hard.

This is why adoption matters. Dogs like Drizzy are often overlooked, not because they’re broken, but because they’ve been through more than we’ll ever understand. They deserve patience, safety, and a real second chance.

But in a short 2 months, Drizzy has completely changed our home. This is his second chance, and we’ll protect it with everything we have. 🐾🤍 by @lexikohut

Today, we had to say goodbye to my best boy. My heart is in pieces, but there’s a deep peace knowing he spent the rest of his life feeling safe, adored, and truly home.

Before me, his world was full of hurt. Taken from the only home he understood and left behind by the person he trusted most. He had every reason to close himself off. But the day I met him, he walked up with that wagging tail and that goofy smile… as if he knew he’d finally found his person. And he was right.

Hooch wasn’t just a rescue dog. He was the kind of love that roots itself so deeply it changes you forever. He gave everything he had, every single day, without ever asking for anything but a place to belong.

So in honor of him: choose the dog who’s been overlooked. The one with a past. The one waiting behind a shelter gate for someone to see them. They will rewrite your world. They will love you with a loyalty and gratitude you’ll feel for the rest of your life.
