Yesterday we had to say goodbye to our sweet girl Luna. Our hearts are broken into a million pieces without her. When we brought her home from the shelter she was terrified of everything, especially ceiling fans, so she followed us everywhere and never left our side. All she had to do was look at us with those pretty orange puppy dog eyes and she could have whatever she wanted. As she grew up her sweet, loving, and playful personality developed and her fears disappeared, aside from thunder and fireworks of course. She loved car rides, pup cups, slow walks in the park, snuggles, naps, and any food she could manage to get into. She gave us 9 years full of so much love and we did everything in our power to give that love right back to her. A few years back Luna was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy, meaning she had seizures and needed to be on medication for the rest of her life to manage them. She was the strongest girl to the very end, always being the best dog despite her seizures continuing to get worse over time. Her tail was constantly wagging through countless vet trips and she was always so brave no matter what test needed to be done. Over the past few days she made it clear to us that it was her time, and we had to let her go. We will never forget the impact this dog has had on our lives and we miss her like crazy. Fly high sweet Luna girl, we love you forever🩵 by @lexipeabody
